Still looking the perfect E55
If you had a choice, which one would you pick?

Guys,

I just found 2 perfect E55's and I am torn about which one to buy. So please help me!

The first one is a 2006, black/black, 56k miles and has premium package with navigation, dynamic heated/ventilated seats and panoramic roof.

The other one is a 2005, tectite gray/black, 59k miles and is basically the same + parking sensors + keyless go but has no panoramic roof.

The price difference between the 2 is exactly $100!

The Tectite Gray is such a nice color! Black just looks so mundane...but the car has slightly more miles and is a year older...

If you had to pull the trigger - which one?

Thanks!

Did you drive both? Sit inside? Same interior?
I guess it comes down to what you like more, the color or the pano roof. Its a tough one. I'd go for the pano.

The E55 that I was supposed to buy on Monday (In 2 days!) was ripped out of my hands...some guy came to the dealer and paid cash straight away...all while I was waiting for money to be transferred from overseas!

Long story short, I am still left with nothing but yesterday I stumbled upon the 2 cars mentioned in the OP...I guess things happen for a reason - the E55 that got stolen was an empty, zero options, 2004 E55...

Which one would you pick?

Hey Dima, as you know I am in Boston, and both cars are in Florida, so its a blind buy and either one will be shipped to me! That does make me scared, but hell I want an E55 so so badly!

I am inclining towards the the Tectite Gray since it has more options and a lovely color...but oh that pano...

I thought tectite gray was only offered for 03-04 and 05-06 has flint gray? Either way, I think I'd go for the gray.

The gray is an amazing color. But pano is amazing too.
Its a blind buy without the drive! I hope worst case is a dead I/C pump. Perhaps make thread and ask a local forum member to take a look at the car for you for friendship/small compensation?
I looked for mine for a while, and came hours away from flying out to get a white one in the wilderness. Until one popped up same day in Boston (I was in Vegas), next morning I flew back, at the dealership and car was mine. 6 others wanted it dealer claimed.
You never know. Blind buy is blind.

One of them is in Sarasota, FL and the other one is in Tampa, FL. That would be absolutely amazing if you can drive them for me, I would really appreciate that!

I'd love to, but I'm down by Miami. There are a few members in those areas. Let me see if I can reach out to them.

Tell me about it...I have been looking for 2 months already...almost gave up! By the way, your E55 looks simply amazing...I gave up on the dreams of finding a white/pano e55 a long time ago If you don't mind me asking, how long did you wait until you found your E55?

I'd prefer the keyless go over the pano roof which seems to be way more trouble than it's worth.

A while mang, I considered a couple black E55's as well, one local to us in NH, guy wanted 30 and wouldnt budge. (so happy he didnt now).
About 4 months. But I've looked for over a year. Like I said, it came up..left deposit and flew back next day. Couldnt be happier (still drunk..)

Why dont you talk to skratch77 on the board? He's a good buddy of mine and is selling his E. One healthy car, ran him at the track several times too. Wanna be a tad faster than me?

WOW...you've looked for quite a while! Yeah I saw his thread - 28k is a very good price, although it has too many miles for my taste (The ones I am looking at are low and mid 50k miles cars) and I am looking for stock - not going to mod it for a while haha

I'm a major fan of Black cars...think they look the best however mine is only used on nice weekends...if your going to use it as an everyday car, the Tectile will show alot less dirt. Otherwise you'll be cleaning the black one like crazy to keep it looking nice.

Give up on finding an E55 in the 50k mile range if you want it in the next 6 months. None in Boston for the next year.
Not going to mod it for a while is a myth. Most of us here came from high performance cars, tune it at least.
I rather see and feel the car before I buy, but I understand where youre coming from. Hopefully some of our Fla mates can come thru.
Get in touch with skratch77 (Angelo)!

IM getting a bike.Ill take 28k for everthing with my car.Its still has a year left with warranty also.

Im very impulsive and I had a bank check in my name in my hands 4 months ago for 29k and I got cold feet and decided to keep the car.

My friend just got a c63 amg and its tempting to keep the beast but let me know and you can check out my car if you want.

Heck you can part the thing and make 3-4k

I have a pm with a guy offering 1700 for just my airbox

By the way, as I understand you are in Boston, MA?
