NEED INFO..... Wheel fitment question

I have an 04 E55. I am looking at getting a set of 20" rims. I know i can do 20 x 10 on the REAR. However, on the FRONT, I'd like to do a 20 x 9 in an attempt to have a deep lip up front. All the wheel shops in the area say 20 x 8.5 is the biggest I can do on the front. Is that true? Anyone here running 20 x 9's up front? Thanks in advance

I know a 20x9 will fit with an ET of 25-31. However the deep lip part is where the shops are probably getting tripped up. There isn't much room to make the lip larger without alot of concavity. I have a set of 9's that are going on the car next week...

I hear ya but I didn't discuss the deep lip with the wheels shops. I just asked them about a 20 x 9 up front and they said 20 x 8.5 was the limit. But you say you are putting some 20 x 9's on the front tho huh?

Yes I am. Others have done it as well commonly with HRE's. Do a search.

I'm currently running 20x9 and 20x10 with 245 and 275 tires. I'm petty sure the offset is +35 front and rear

Awesome. No rubbing or clearance issues that had to be dealt with?

I am thinking 245/35/20 or 245/30/20 up front. And 275/30/20 in the rear. will those sizes work?
