had the H/E installed today... :)
original opening of the box (so sweet)
then I pulled it out (no ding on Steve, the Post Office goofed on this!)
the aluminum tab was kinked down, and peanuts into the brass... fortunately it was all surface stuff - straightened the bracket and carefully pulled out the peanuts
this H/E is HUGE - they mounted the oil cooler below the H/E so it's pushing down a bit on the front lip...
my tech David (who by the way is a great guy and works on lots of AMGs) said he was impressed with the cooler, and was going to mention FT-P to his other customers - he was blown away at the price for the quality.
Now I just have to figure out how to make the lip look a little less swollen

Sounds like your SA is feeding you a line of bird doodoo based on the battery install he quoted you.
Just hire JustinW to do your work.
I would do the E63 Conversion before getting a lip

True, there's that and then there's the fact that the underside of the lip makes more contact with the pavement than any other part of the car aside from tires so your oil cooler could potentially take alot of impact or at least vibration.

did you leave the car with them and came to find that they installed the tranny cooler that way , or were you with them knowing that ? Did they notify you ahead of time about the lip and you approved ? ..I would have hit the ceiling if I had to pay for an install like that ! Sorry ..

I think they left the air baffle on the cooler which adds to the bulk - I'm going to pull the undertray and see how it's attached...
