Experiences with the E/C 172mm pulley

I've ordered the 172mm pulley from Eurocharged and just wanted to hear some feedback from others with this pulley. HP and Tq gains, reliability, stuff like that. Thanks

To be honest, EC will have all the Data you could want. Didn't you research before purchasing? Good luck with it.

Aren't you doing this out of order - research, decide, and then buy ?????

EC is great, so you will be happy....I hope you have purchased a tune as well....

I have had EC 172mm on my E55 for about a year.
No problem so far and got 50+ RWHP with custom ECU tune.

He likes the 4 step approach: Decide, buy, research, regret.

Though in this case, he will be happy with the purchase.

I purchased the EC 172mm pulley and tune and ran into issues with the belt slipping off every 500-1000 miles. After replacing the belt with the same gates k080514(supplied belt) a few times, I switched to a slightly smaller Goodyear gatorback belt and so far so good...knock on wood.

No, I read alot about how good EC is with all their customers. I talked to a few other guys on here about this pulley as well. I guess I got confused when reading the thread about the other companies pullies that were failing. I was trying to use an indirect way of asking if I ordered the wrong pulley. It was just a case of reassuring myself. I'm now sure of my decision. Thanks for the help.

How is there a lot of trolling in this thread? Explain? All I see is someone discusiing EC 172 pulley And others chiming in on possible belt shredding and alternate belts for it. Kinda fits in to the thread title called "experiences with EC 172" don't ya think?

You should have no problem with the Gatorback. I would, however, recommend
changing any brand SC belt at around 10K miles or 3 years.
