Brand new k&n cones on in june. I thought about steam cleaning the engine bay, but I don't want any water possibly getting into the electronics. Could use a wipe down tho

Not trying to detract from the car at all. The car is really nice. I've always thought the Speedriven intake was less than ideal though.

I always thought the same thing. I bet it makes significantly more power with the hood open than with the hood closed and a hot engine. Needs to be isolated from the underhood air with vent louvers cut in the hood.

I do like the "needswings" e55 intake tubes with the filter housed inside.
Maybe I will make a record setting pass this winter with no hood......

If the intercoolers are good, the intake setup will only make marginal gains. I've tested cold air intakes on turbo cars before and rarely do they make any power. I've tested it on cars with decent intercooling so results may vary.

The warranty is worth the price of admission. VERY difficult to find a 3rd party warranty for the V12TTs anymore.
GLWS.... I think I may have to switch from the SL to one of these, in the near future.

Why not both??? LOL. I take it you need a place for the boys to sit? Perfect car for kids who really don't require much leg room.

Stock intercoolers back on. Not sure what the hp/rwhp numbers are now, but it still is nasty quick. (Prob 10.9-11.1 1/4mi) $40,000 firm takes it.
