........any independent dyno's?

 

Judging by the lack of anything from Weistec, it would appear their kit didn't make good power on the M113k motor like it did on the M156.

 

We have already posted videos and dyno graphs. People are looking for independent results, and we don't have much control of that. We have made over 600 hp at the wheels with our E55 running long tube headers, cooling mods, and pump gas. Our system is capable of making even more power with a built engine and we are sure more results will be posted soon. Thanks.

why would there be any independant dyno's when so far only one person has the kit installed on their car?

 

My SL55 AMG is fully built from Weistec, I still haven't dyno-ed the car yet, I used to be at 560 rwhp before the Weistec Supercharger and build and i guarantee you that the car is freaking quick, and much faster than my previous setup. As soon as my spark plugs reach from Weistec, new Torque Coonverter (dont think my stock torque converter can handle the amount its producing) All should be done within a weeks time. Been driving the car on 103 octane and I have some cooling mods as well, hopefully once these parts have been added I'll be doing some dynos. Already have contacted Weistec for a bigger and better performance package .. hoping for something quick as their 834rwhp CLK63 black series. My car was a Kleemann K4 built engine and Weistec had built my car based on the Kleemann parts, so its 560 rwhp PLUS whatever was achieved with the Weistec Mods.

I'm currently awaiting the arrival of the motor internals now. Once they arrive we will start a proper thread.

We have a bone stock E55 here and will document from start to finish!!

 

a source told me that there is a Weistec E55 with some ISSUES in South Africa

Gents,the vehicle in question is mine. We have had issues this side but I am currently working closely with Weistec with a view to resolving them. I will, in due course, publish a full review. In the meantime I'd be grateful if you would all resist the temptation to speculate.

Wesitec has been great. They approched us and we have now come to an agreement on the build.

Block, Pistons, Heads, Fuel System, Transmission, Headers, 82mm, Trunk Tank, etc. Steve and I will work together on the tune so you know it will be a MONSTER!

.....I'be been burned so many times now. I don't buy the propaganda from tuners. A lot of cars you hear about are actually not tuning right, don't make the power tuners claim, or have check engine lights. You just don't hear about it on the forums. Some tuners don't even do a baseline dyno for comparison. All you hear is a lot of hyperbole while the cars still sit in the shop, yet to be fixed. Meanwhile, the tuners use the otooaganda and sell more of the same stuff. So unless the owner of the car actually does and independent dyno and says his/or her car is running just right without issues or cel, I won't believe it.


......notice that you see a lot of threads excitedly announcing some monster project. Notice also you never see the same thread return and say project has been completed and car runs perfectly fine and no issues. I think Mercedes tuners are not quite at the same level as tuners if other cars. Or the Mercedes electronics might be too complicated. But there are actually very few truly successful projects from Mercedes tuners.

.......I could drop off my Gallardo today and in pick it up in 6 weeks with tt dine and no issues. We just don't have the same level of expertise in the my/amg tuner world, even if you have the funds to pay for it. So I am always skeptical
