Official Weistec M113K 3.0L Supercharger, PICTURES INSIDE!!!
Gadget's car has basic mods, compared to some of the more involved set ups out there....long tubes into stock resonators, the Wiestec kit and an 82mm TB. He is running a simple split cooling system with a small tank under the hood. I mean look where his intake is...over the headers...lol.
Let's consider how long the record run of 10.7 stood, how long it took to get there and what it currently takes to beat it.
Gadget threw on some drag radials, took the heavy azz jack out of the trunk and drove a cold car to a 10.7....just like that!
Sure there may be some cooling issues with lapping it, but nothing you can't fix

I think meth/water injection and a better intake will push this set up past the record....at full weight

I'm impressed!

.......I actually like Weistec as a company, they don't over-promise and they tend to deliver what they promise. They promised consistent upper 500's WHP. Others, not Weistec were touting 800WHP, which now seems unrealistic as it did when it was first brought up. A consistent 10.xxxx run in the 1/4 is impressive and consistent with Weistec's WHP claims.

I don't recall anyone expecting the "off the shelf" setup to make 800whp because nobody in their right mind (that I know of) is going to pulley the thing to make say 25-26psi and see what happens unless they have a built engine. Nobody does yet but there are a couple in the works with Sir-boost-alot and his sleeved block setup being finished soon as well as the car Eurocharged is building with heads, cams and built block.
That is when you are going to see the 800whp range numbers pushing the blower to boost levels well in the 20s.

......of course one can always imagine situations when this mod plus this mod plus this mod will yield XWHP. The Internet is full of this. This is what you are doing and not what Weistec did.

I do not understand why UTube makes it so hard to find the video from the mobile platform.

In regards to the boost, I'll probably leave it where it's at unless the rest of the engine build drags on too long? (engine builds have a way of circumventing your timeframe expectations, right Steve?). In that case, I want to do an EGT logger preferably on all 8 but at least on one hole from each bank. I don't think 8 will necessarily be the lean hole anymore due to changes with the fuel rail and eliminating the tanks above the intake runners. If the EGTs are in check, then we can get a true feel for how much power the stock engine can handle. Whatever breaks at that point will have broken due to physically overloading the components instead of melting due to heat or detonation.
I'm ok with that

I'd kind of forgotten about the Weistec having gotten really busy with work past few weeks but seeing Gadget video got the fire burning again! We're about out of cool days here though for good track times, maybe well get lucky and that 85 forecast for next week wont be the coolest it gets until October

) you live in Florida and only get cold weather about 1 month a year haha. I guess you at least don't live in south Florida where it could be even worse at times. Can't wait to see your car in action and meeting up for some comparison runs will be cool too if that happens. Just over 2 weeks and I will be home.

I was just about to break my car up to swap to a 63 M156 and put a Weistec or Kleemann SC on, now I'm thinking stick with a 55 M133K and bolt on the Weistec kit

Smh @ everyone always playing down the E55. I remember when people were saying 10s will never be seen. Everyone always said I was crazy, now it's the norm for modded E55s. 800w/9-sec will be achieved in the near future. I mean no disrespect Ted, but it doesn't matter wether you continue with your pessimistic attitude regarding E55s, it will only go to separate your 11/10 second E55 to my soon-to-be 9-sec E55 (which doesn't exist I know
). Hurry up Serge, we got people to prove wrong
Anyways, having a projected outcome in WHP and or 1/4 mile times when modding is part of the game. Doesn't mean your internet racing.
