Sorry if its been posted before. I was looking for alternatives to the stock unit because its not very good and also looks so outdated. I was hoping to find something that looked OEM and I ran into this. Its touch screen with a lot of other features.

I'm not sure I like the interface very much but its got a lot of functionality. I wonder if its made by the same people who make the BMW (E46/E39) replacements.

I think I've seen that one on here while searching for deck replacements. From what I remember, it was criticized pretty brutally for being a cheap piece of **** lol

Our cars use a fiber optics MOST connection. You wouldn't be able to use this unit.

Well I'd be worried about sound quality and actual product quality but people would have to buy it to find out.

Apparently you can, it just requires the use of a harness they sell ( or give, don't know ) that bypasses it.

I did a little more searching. It is made by Dynavin, same guys who made the BMW stuff. I've seen one installed in an E46 M3 and it was actually pretty good. I'm not saying this one is good because I've never seen it. Here is the page from Dynavin. Seems like they updated the interface somewhat too. I know we have the Fiber Optics just like my 996TT. When I had the HU replaced on that they used a harness adapter. The system sounds better now then with the OEM HU. In the page below Dynavin says it works with MOST.

Would this give you a Bluetooth function even if your car isn't setup for it? Does it play DVDs? Thx

i think.. if a company is to make a better unit than stock and charge this kindof money, it should have bluetooth ipod aux and phone built in. thats a comand i would buy

That appearently is for the 6 cd changer lol. You can dial 0-9 from the touch screen I would guess

I never thought I would, but I LOVE using the 0-9 number pad on mine to make phone calls when it's on BT.

they are indeed cheap pieces of crap and the OS is too when fiddled around with. personal experience.

If this was a quality unit, I would definitely like to pick it up. The Nav/Stereo unit in this car just leaves so much to be desired. The sound system is not very loud and there's barely any bass at all. My Dynaudio in my Passat kicked the **** out of this harmon system. And the iPod integration sucks ball sack.

Do you know if you played with the original OS or the Android OS showing up on the Dynavin site?


It has all of that. I'm assuming the iPod/Aux cable or connection must come out through the back only because I don't see a USB up front. Both eBay and the Dynavin site show iPod integration.

Every hands on review I have read stated the same-POS, stay clear away. But of course, someone else please pony up and buy it, and post up your thoughts also.

i messed with the original. cheap feel on buttons+ not user friendly operating system. we were actually shown a few models from one of their reps because we were going to become a dealer.

When did you play with the unit ? I wonder if it was a pre-production unit or if they have made improvements with the OS.

I have this unit. I've had it since July. I haven't had any problems with it. I installed it myself. I eliminated the amp and installed an aftermarket amp for the existing sub. It sounds great. It has bluetooth, navi and plays dvd's. It eliminates the old cd navi that comes in ours cars, with the sd card type. I'm not a promotion person for the company, but I can get these units around $660 plus shipping. They come with all available harnesses from whatever application your car has. It supports fiber optic and canbus. PM me if interested or you can just ask questions about it.
