Tempted by a 2014 GT-R
I walked into my local Nissan dealership and asked if he had a 2014 GT-R. One just arrived. Black w/black interior. Premium Edition. Not exactly the color I wanted. Also, had the winter package with all season tires, which I would prefer not getting. Car was about $101,000 list and the dealer indicated he would drop the price some. Engine has been tweaked slightly from last year for more midrange and faster launches (OMG!).
I've lusted for this car on and off for past two years. When I sat in it I realized that this may be comfortable by sport car standards, but it felt tight and seats were like a rock.
I wish I weren't so happy with my E55. I love the style and comfort and the fact that it is a sedan and can carry luggage and passengers. Plus it has only 48K miles and is like new. Then again it is 10 years old.
For those of you that have driven the GT-R and the E55, what was your impression of the GT-R. Performance aside, how was the GT-R as a daily driver?

I rode in one that made 6 whp less than my car, and I estimate I'd need another 75hp to hang with it. They just hook up and go so hard and the power doesn't stop. It's an amazing machine that defies physics. I think I'd be to tempted to drive it like a hooligan if I had one.

Doesn't matter, whp are the ONLY numbers that matter. The real difference is the dual clutch transmission and the ultra short gearing and AWD. That's what makes GT-R's such beasts.
