Wow! I'm glad to hear the stock ECU is sophisticated enough to be able to run turbochargers, since I'm not sure of many aftermarket ECUs for the E-Class.

I'm well aware it came stock supercharged - meant to say turbocharged not forced induction - but turbochargers have radically different characteristics in how they come on boost compared to superchargers. I am not at all a tuning expert or engineer, but in the setups I've seen that are originally N/A or supercharged, it takes a specialized aftermarket ECU like a Haltech unit that allows you to get the air/fuel ratios properly tuned for the progressive onset of boost at different RPMs. Allows, as was previously mentioned, to eliminate lean spots

The E55 uses a MAP sensor. It would be able to adjust for the boost of a turbo.
I'm assuming they are runing manual wastegates or an aftermarket electronic wastegate controller?

E55 AMG on Ethanol-Meth; 600rwhp BMW M5
I dont have a spare motor lol. At least we will know the limits if it goes. Everything internally is 100% bone stock, and so far it held together with a 50 wet shot which produced 597rwhp/801rwtq on our Dyno Dynamics. As a reference, my car made 360rwhp bone stock on the rollers.
All we have left to do is wire up the oil pump for the turbos, and throw some finishing welds on the mid pipe.
A customers car got pushed in front of this project today, so we can get them ready for TimmayFest (you know who you are)
This project will definitely hit the dyno by tomorrow evening.
Ahmad, I have no idea about the pump, I have not seen the car since it left my house.

Out Of Control!!
We should categorize these cars into a titan class of E55s...
Are we up to about a half dozen Turbo cars now?
