These cars DO have SBC and a new unit is big plus. It's the ABC they don't have.
Car does look clean and seems to be priced a bit high but with all of that service done there is definitely some value there.

ok so spoke to him.
he said the following (paraphrasing).
the car was under platinum warranty transferred to him when he bought it. thus he had to pay 0 on all of the expenses. he was simply telling (in the CL post) what was fixed and cost of it (though not paid by him but by warranty).
now the extended warranty is run out and thus he does not want to risk having to pay out of his pocket if anything breaks (e.g. he said that only 1 strut was replaced and if others would go bad he would have to fork out the money). therefore, he wants to sell it. he supposedly is a MB certified mechanic; and does not think anything else is wrong with it. he is asking what he owes on the car. he will send more pictures.

looks solid, i just bought my 03 with 54kish on the odo for about 20800, had a solid serivce history. before i bought it, i had mb check it out and bought an extended warranty through mb. so far soo good. i love this car.

Why a MB mechanic be so worried about anything braking on MB car?
Makes no sense, have it checked out at reputable shop or dealer.

my 04 has been bullet proof thus far - love the car - just hit 65K miles and have loved every single one of them - and i am biased as Tectite Grey is gorgeous - just not with black amg wheels..
