I wouldn't recommend these pads for guys who drive hard. The loss of brake power was very Noticable when I went from oem to akebono. They let off almost 0 brake dust which was why I went with them. I think these are great brakes for people who don't really get on the car too much

same here i drive my car pretty damm hard... breaking from 130 to almost stop in matter of seconds... i've noticed zero difference from oem to these other than the nasty break dust that they made.. they were almost new too and i threw them away

Here is good question, I changed all my pads but not the rotors because they are drilled rotors and they squeak a bit which I expected. Will these squeak too or is that something I just have to try out?

I've also read a lot that akebono does not have initial bite as the oem and braking isn't as good as EBC red stuff or the other ones. If brake dust is your primary concern and it seems like that from your nice rims then akebono is the way to go

obviously breaking is more of my concern than some rims when it comes to safety but i dont know what kind of catches are you guys expecting.. anyhow i have enough of a catch for me to stop from my highest(120-160) speed to zero matter of secodns. .. i mean look at the size of the rotors these cars have

Mercedes
EBC Red Stuff if you want something affordable and something that actually works track or street and much much better than stock. There are others that are better but double and triple the price of the EBC

Yeah I should have noted the condition of my rotors. They weren't too bad, not grooved badly or anything very little grooves but they did have a small lip on the outside of them. The pad doesn't touch that lip though. Just wondering if anyone did this with no squeak, keeping in mind they have only been on the car for 100 miles at best and they only squeak with a light touch from, let's say 5mph to 1 mph, if I hit them hard at those speeds then there is no squeak at all.

I have mine on for 500 miles and thinking bout getting the RS-4 instead. Aren't as great as OEM. If you want them you can have for $150 for all 4

Thanks, the rears are done already, so for 150 ill scoop up new ones and allow them to wear with new rotors properly
