Fuel smell again , crankshaft *some pics* :(
This is some it's not even been 6 months and this problem again.
Last time they fixed the problem it was
as said on invoice "Left side fuel pump seal leaking"
After fixing and 437$ later " Installed new gasket and ring nut completed"
on Invoice says Parts are warranted for 2 years including labor. Can someone from the pics confirm if it's the same part again or it's a different issue this time.??
Also, I got P0335 code- crankshaft position sensor. Can someone confirm if the wire I'm pointing to is indeed that and what is the "screw" called on top of Air filter box ? Two things same day tsk tsk tsk
Thanks
What is this screw called ? I would need to open it for crank position sensor but I only have star and philips
Is this again just a seal or I need whole new fuel pump this time ?
This is just too much fuel , it's unreal how they don't consider this as a hazard.
If this isn't covered anyway to work on this at home ?

The screw is called a Torx. You do not need to mess with the airbox screws to change the CPS. Just remove the ENTIRE airbox without opening it. You can barely SEE the CPS, it's more a touch and feel game and can be a pain to change out. It can be done quite easily though.
As for the fuel pumps, I never messed with mine...I just never filed my tank all the way to the top.

how does the whole air box comes out ? I thought these were the screws to remove the Whole Air box. Where are the screws to get it off located ? The y-pipe and everything would have to come off too ?
Any idea regarding what screw is used on the CPS ?

The airbox just pops upwards with Y-pipe and all ( you need to unhook the Y-pipe from the throttle body ), you also need to pull out the PCV hose on the drivers side Y-pipe. It's easy.
The CPS is held by an inverted torx bolt, can't remember the size though. You need an inverted torx socket to remove it.

Can you do us a favor? Clean up all the fuel, start your car up, and try to see where the fuel leak is from?
I fixed my fuel leak problem by JB weld cover the whole top.
Here's the thread

In the second picture where I have circled it with red mark is the place where the fuel seems to
be coming from.
Could that whole pump be pulled out ? any screws holding or what ? and I should be covered
under warranty since it has been less than 6-7 months when I got the dealer to fix it or do you
think it is not as said on invoice "Left side fuel pump seal leaking" that's what the dealer fixed ,
from pictures does it look like more than a "seal" ??
Also which product JB weld did you use?

the steel one wouldn't be dangerous since it has plugs and everything there ?
be coming from.

You should send those fuel leak pics and your invoice over to the NHTSA guy who's been looking into this situation. Hope you get it resolved.
