Crazy thing is most of those cars run a 90mm throttle body and make the same power levels as the 95mm and 105mm. I seen a dyno between a 105mm TB vs a
123mm TB (5") and had a 3hp difference.

Reason is because it's easier to push air through a tube then it is to pull air. Take a turbo a put 2" piping on the outlet and it can push 500whp out of those 2" pipes yet if you put the same 2" pipe in the turbo inlet you'd be lucky to get 350whp out of the same setup.

I know how it works. Just saying with power levels over 3000hp and into the 4000's you wouldn't think a 90mm opening would support those power levels but is been proven.

when i was with my previous engine (c32 with 185 pulley, LTH ...) i went from stock tb 74mm to 78/80mm tb and on the same dyno same conditions i went back 5-6 hp.

This build really has me thinking about skipping out on the GT3 and going back to a 55, and building a track car out of it!


I mean a gutted, caged, twin turbo E55 would be a pretty bad *** ride....

Just confirmed my order with OCarbon. Will be sending out my interior pieces to have them coated in carbon fibre this weekend. Should have them back in 3-4 weeks.

Just got all the factory sensors from the SC mounted on the intake. I heard it was a PITA lol.
