PAS6201 E55 Build Thread

Here's one a little closer
In regards to this car though, the guys were talking about the heat shedding coating from both places, not the heat retaining ceramics. The shedding coating is sometimes used on differentials, transmission cases in race applications where every little bit counts and the heat buildup can be destructive to the internals.

It is listed as after you powder coated the wheels black and then is the pic of you two. Guess when you went switching pics around in your photobucket that one somehow got linked to show up here now.P.S., can't wait to see this thing going. I freaking love turbos and this setup/kit seems so simple. Hope the tuning goes well.

OOPS! LOL! I just went back and looked. The pics are all screwed up on the first page. Thats what happens when I mess with my photobucket account. I am just glad it was a ummm appropriate pic that accidentally got in there
. Definitely not switching them around any more just to be safe....About to post some new ones up.

Here is the driver side that will be moved up on to a better position on Monday. Should be done by the end of the day.

The intercooler fits great behind the front bumper.

A few pics around the car since it was semi cleaned up. The third brake light still has to be tinted. And after putting the 305's on the rear I will definitely need to have a little tuck, pull, and roll of the fenders.

Dropped the 3000 stall off at the shop when up at Timmayfest. LSD should be coming in soon. The new rotors and pads will be in on Tuesday. The powdercoating of the valve covers and brake calipers is getting redone on Monday because it didn't turn out right.
I know I put a pic of this before but it got erased. This is the AEM Failsafe gauge I will be using in the ashtray mount. It will display A/F and Boost.

CLS63 Gauge Cluster is on its way. As soon as it comes in I will be sending to Jerry to have him set it at 0. All of my 3M Carbon wrap material came in a week ago. So once I get the car back I will be wrapping the interior pieces.
And looks like I was tempted and purchased these today
I couldnt resist, they just look so good.

Regarding the rear, any idea why nobody has pulled the fenders or added flares like the old 400E ? I really want to do an 18 x11 - 12" in the rear, but there is no way it would fit without doing some custom flares / body work. Curious what you find out and do...

Fenders- if the local guys (in OH) can't do anything for the fenders I have a guy here in VA that can do some custom sheet metal, blending and bodywork to make the fenders look amazing. I already have seen what he has done to several BMW's and they turned out great. That will be my next step!

Fyi.. black out the emblems too
I am leaning towards polishing the IC. I think it will fit since the exhaust tips and wheel lips shine so much. That will give it something on the front end.
The reason for aem fail safe is more for bleeding boost immediately in case of dangerous afr then logging although it does log but prolly not as good as the Z
Now if Z would come out with the fail safe on their units that would be a complete setup
