This place is a joke.
The gas pedals have been known to go bad...Hmm..That would be interesting to replace yours, or can you log the gas pedal sensor? I wonder if your pedal sensor is bad...maybe it is not an issue with the stock 74 TB, but once the 82 is there..that small hiccup which may go unnoticed on a stock car, would cause a problem here..Starting to make sense about the MAP code...the ECU sees that MAP pressure shoot up from nowhere, and faults the sensor. Just thinking aloud here, bear with me..

Is there anyone nearby with an 82mm with no problems that can swap gas pedals with you to test? It's an easy swap, about 5 minutes.

My instinct says your TPS going open is the clue we've been looking for. As I said before, this has always sounded like a vacuum leak problem to me, obviously a lean condition, and if your TB is flicking open even for less than a second..What we don't know is if the TPS is cause or effect...Is the ECU opening the throttle because it thinks the engine is stalling?

Aww crap..........just looked at the logs and didn't realize the first line hiccup shows the TPS Ok. So let's start over.
I see it's going lean though, which we know. Can you log the injectors at that same moment? We need to find out why it's going lean...is it cutting fuel (less injector PW) or is there more air coming in somewhere. Maybe log the EGR too.

actually it had nothing to do with the TB it was my intake, it was catching into the butterfly because my intake inlet was 74mm and it was slipping somehow and hitting the inside

Hi All - I'm getting ready to install the EC 82mm TB and 550cc injectors and have a few questions:
First, the 82mm TB I got from Eurocharged has the throttle blade oriented in the opposite direction from the stock TB. I assume this is an Audi TB and not MB? Do I need to reverse the blade or something? Will this difference in orientation have any adverse effect on performance or driveability?
Second, I was told this is a plug and play kit, but on the 82mm, there's no port for the PCV hose that plugs into the port on the stock TB. Where am I supposed to connect the PCV system, I don't want to vent to atmosphere. Should I drill/tap the 82mm TB and install a barb for the OEM PCV fitting or connect the stock PCV plug somewhere else?
Third, my understanding is I need to do a simple pin swap on the factory male plug as per the EC instructions. Please confirm this is necessary and does this require any special tools or soldering?
Last, I have 5 new gaskets from the dealer pictured below. Are there any other gaskets, O-rings or seals I need before I tear into this project?
My car is running super strong right now and I'm nervous about this install as I've heard of other members having surge/hesitation issues on tip-in with the 82mm units. Hopefully, it's a tuning issue and after Eurocharged reflashes my car for the shorty headers, 82mm and 550cc injectors, it'll drive perfectly as it does today with no trouble codes.
Any guidance or things to lookout for would be appreciated. Thanks.

As far as gaskets looks like you got everything there. I personally have never seen a tb like that before so I couldn't help you on that, since I use oem and it's flawless, great power

When I installed 80mm Kleemann TB ,they sent me a new y pipe with a 90 deg hose barb for the vent hose you're talking about ,because the 80 mm TB they sent me did not have vacuum port like yours pictured I have since switched to MB 82mm TB,I am now looking to go to 90 lol,no problems with either 80 or 82mm TB,s however they were Mercedes TB

Interesting. I think I'm going to pass on installing this. Looks like I should have done more research before jumping on this group buy earlier this year. Thinking about selling this 82mm TB now since it appears to not be an MB OEM unit and don't like the fact that the throttle blade is oriented differently plus no PCV port. Can I unbolt this TB from the EC adapter plate and bolt on an OEM MB 2731410325 unit in its place without any issues? If anyone has a new MB 2731410325 TB for sale, please PM me. Thanks.

Can someone confirm whether the bolt patterns between the Audi 82mm and MB 82mm TBs are identical? I'm trying to determine if I can swap an MB S550 82mm throttle body onto the Eurocharged snout and adapter plate which currently have an Audi 82mm TB bolted on. Anyone?

Can we go back to topic, which is the hiccup issues? :-)
Are there any news yet?
Part of the discussion also shifted to this topic: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ts-pics-5.html
Shouldn't anyone make a poll or something so the users with or without hiccup issue can vote on which year their cars are built and wheter is a OEM TB or a Audi one (in case of the infamous 82mm TBs) ???

Correct. I wasted money replacing the non OEM 82mm t/b with an OEM 82mm t/b in the hope that doing so would resolve the issue. It did not.
A caveat to the guys experiencing the problem (hiccup mode) - I'm almost certain that it resulted in my engine blowing. Although I wasn't logging AFRs when my engine blew, I have now on 3 occasions since installing the new motor repeated the trip undertaken the day my engine blew and without fail, on each occasion, hiccup mode has manifested within 2km of where the failure occured.

So people came with other possible causes, one that is that the ECUs year might have something to do with it. And in order to just get closer to a solution, i think such a Poll would be a very good idea.
