Upgraded drop and plug fuel PUMP?
There has to be some members that upgraded our oem dual fuel pumps.....right? If you have, can you chime in and share the info?

^^ I would think if noise was a concern, one could put the pump in a sound deadened enclosure....Then again, anyone that needs this mod probably does not care about NVH...

I appreciate the response but the idea is not realistic. The idea sounds easy but its not doable without major work and other mods. I am looking for a drop in higher pressure fuel pump. Somebody has to have done this...I am assuming.

If you just want more pressure and flow, you could just add an external pump and use the stock pumps as primer pumps, as long as they still work.
Or you could remove the stock pumps entirely and use an external pump.
There are a few safety precautions that you would want to take, but it should be fairly easy.
That said if two 340lph pumps can be fitted easily, then that seems like a great route too - especially if you can use easy to change filters vs. the OEM crap.
Craig - would you please post more information on the pumps you are using, mounting, and filtration ? There are two aeromotive 340 lph models, one with a center inlet and one with offset.

I use duel bosch 44 external pumps and 8an line that feeds into duel 6an linesgoing to each rail side. One stock intank pump feeds the duel bosch 44 and they are fitted to a fuel manifold to eliminate surge starvation.
With our aluminum frames, you have to really insulate all pumps and make sure nothing that vibrates can touch the frame or it will sound like your in the pump station at the hoover dam.

Has anyone replced the driver side fuel pump? I already fool the tank's pressure system with a map(2.3v) sensor wired to it. I would be nice to install 3 walbro's 420. I am actually working on it.

drivers side is the sender not the pumps... I just did it the other day. I am surprised that nobody has went to a 1/2 aluminum fuel line from the tank to the front of the car.
and after looking at the sender it has 4 lines coming off it in the tank. 2 lines from the pumps that go into a "Y". A return line ,which is every bit of 1/2" and a 4th which i am not sure of it function.
It seems if you were to get some submersible fuel lines you can make the fuel lines coming off the pump and into the "y" a little larger diameter.

The driver side sender unit has a fuel pump, a fuel pressure regulator, a fuel vapor pressure sensor and a filter. The 4th line is the pressure relive. I am trying to figure out if the fuel pressure is constant or variable by psi like my turbo cars. Adding a return line and an external fpr would make the drop in pumps very effective.
so there is 3 pumps? the power plug on the driver side plug is 2 small 18gauge wires and is for the level sensor..3rd wire is for ground. and the 2nd plug the pressure sensor.. the pass side has the main power for the fuel pumps and the wires go directly to the pumps and is some 10guage wire. I was thinking the 4th hose on the sender is the tank level equalizer cause of the hump in the tank.
The drivers side does have a fuel pressure regulator
so there is a fuel pump inside. here is one taken apart. it looks more like just a filter..
