Anybody have C63 mufflers on their E55 without other exhaust modifications?
I want these mufflers to make the car louder than stock. However, I do not plan to do any other exhaust work (i.e. headers, resonator delete etc.) so I want to hear how they sound on an otherwise stock E55.
It seems like all the clips I've heard, either people have aftermarket headers, deleted cats/ resonators and so on.
Anybody with these mufflers only ? Thanks!

Those mufflers with the resonator delete will give you the sound youre looking for. The hangers are identical to our stock ones. The resonator doesn't change the pitch very much, it just quiets things down a touch. I'd start with the mufflers and if you decide you want more sound then have the resonator replaced.
I was going to go this route, I just didn't like the cost of the mufflers so I'm going another route.
Cheers!

I found a set of mufflers locally for $650. Thats just too much money to spend on used oem anything haha. I'm also just starting to mod the car; I have a lot more things I still need to buy before I start spending money on the minor things like mufflers. Shardul has a full pulley system I NEEEED! I NEEEED headers and some minor ins and outs. About $4000 worth of go fast parts before I start buying minor custom stuff.
I'm now going to be using these...

I don't beat on the car too often. Its usually a planned action to go for a late night spirited drive so keeping the car quiet the other 98% of the time will be nice. Not to mention my neighbors would hate me if I did what I really wanted to. I'm in the car by 6am everyday haha

Nice.
I saw your pic of your deleted resonators...got a vid clip?
Also, what stainless did you use and how large (diameter) is the piping you used in place of the resonator?
Thanks for the help..

I didn't go with anything fancy, whatever they had at Meineke. They used 3" over the factory piping (perfect fit) then a quick weld job. They charged me $60 total for everything and took them about 30 minutes.
Don't think about it anymore, for $60 theres nothing to think about... GO DO IT!
Anytime man, I've been learning so much on here in the last month. I'm just happy I can finally pitch in and help!

I don't have a clip yet, but I'll post up a nice go pro complication within the next week of the car. Its so minor though, the exhaust will only be slightly louder. Lets put it this way, your friends most likely won't know the difference, but you will hear it a little louder.
