Oh the ones I let go or passed on over the last five decades. Makes me realize how little I have accomplished. But, then on the other hand, I did, at least, get to play with so many wonderful pieces of twentieth century kinetic art;the likes of which will be seen never again. And after all, in the end, all we are are memories and food for worms.

Denroll did his FSP tonight. He is running a 175/80. Runs well, and between the two of us, we should get some videos up soon. I swear
Today I found that Comfort mode truly takes the car to a new level of smoothness. The car just cleanly accelerates like an NA engine. S is a little twitchy, only because a little gas goes a long way, and you can startle yourself until you get used to it. C mode takes away the learning curve.
A+ on this mod. You wanna know what sucks?
Dennis and I BOTH missed the EC sale. We both paid MORE!!!!! argggggg NOT KIDDING EITHER. %$#&^%!!

My pulley is on and the tune is loaded. My thoughts pretty much mirror Bramage's. The power, when you call for it, is instant. Let that word rattle around in that dome of yours for a while and think about what "instant" really means. It means right - effing - now.
If you're worried about this fixed pulley turning the car "uncivilized", don't. It's actually so much smoother now. That damn clutch engagement? Gone forever.
I haven't gone into full-flog mode yet, but a few quick WOT runs let me know it means business. It goes from vacuum to boost immediately.
The trick to driving smoothly is comfort mode. You have to be a little more gentle with the throttle, but it definitely isn't unmanageable. I saw 24.2mpg over ~15 miles on the highway. So far, the only downfall seems to be higher IATs at cruising. I'm seeing between 30-40 above ambient now, which is about 15-20 degrees higher than before. Having meth means I don't really care, though.
I have a big road trip this weekend, 8 hours each way, so I will have some better idea of MPG and what not.
Oh, and one interesting note, I did not get the TB hiccup, and I drove the route that normally sets it off. I will definitely be watching for that.

Awesome news, Denroll. Keep us all informed!
OT: since you're using meth for IAT control, could you just run water in there or do you run meth as well for an octane boost?

At the risk of a total thread jack, this whole thread leaves me wanting a 168 crank pulley. Anybody have something in good condition? I've never considered crank pulleys what should I look for I don't wants something that's gonna wobble and f*ck up my crank snout.

You can run water only. He does 50/50.. The tune really dictates.. if you tune aggressively, you want the added "fuel". If you are using only for IAT control, and dont pull any fuel out of the tune, water works better alone.

Keep me posted on the hiccup, that may change my thoughts on this pulley for sure

Its hilarious that many members over think some of the discussion topics on the board regarding modifications, and 'ole Denroll slaps a pulley on and says: I'm on my way to Arizona for the weekend.
He does have Kentucky plates on his car, so.. That may be a factor. But I like the "Lets Roll" ideology better than the "oh, no- what if" ideology...

^Right on. I'm like a sophisticated Joe Dirt.
Driving in to work this morning, I can hardly assemble the proper words to express how nice it is to be rid of the clutch. It makes me realize how "confused" it felt on the highway before. Like its inner monologue was saying "Does he want me to engage the clutch? OK, I'll do it. No wait, he wants it disengaged. OK, there. Oh no," etc. It's just smoooooooth now. Oh, and there is less noise (of the bad kind) coming from under the hood now, also.
If you're on the fence about this mod, buy the pulley/tune combo now and try it out. Keep your old clutched pulley around in case you want to go back (you won't want to). The way the tuning works, you can upload your own tunes. Swapping the pulleys is pretty quick, so going back and forth can be done in 30 minutes or less, including the reflash.

I need to go drive the EC shop car. And find some money. Mostly find money. I'm thinking back to stock crank pulley and 77mm.

What do you mean by this, if I have a custom dyno tune already wont the tune that EC puts on overwrite it???

You can flash it back assuming you have the original file.
You are able to "pull" your tune from the ECU using the Eurocharged cable and software and save it on your laptop. *Disclaimer: I think

Here is a video of me driving home from lunch. Its 4 blocks, and I don't have time to edit the video. Sorta looks like a car driving...
There is not much to see, which I guess is the point. The car drives like a normal car

Yes, video is sideways..
As I hit record, I asked myself a bunch of questions:
Why am I doing this?
Umm...
Is there anything in it for me?
NO
So what is the purpose?
To show people how it works on the forum, and be a nice guy
But wait, didn't we just offer an independent review X 2?
Yes
So why a video?
Because people need "proof"
Is it my responsibility to provide proof to people that don't or can't believe an honest, unbiased review of a product?
No
In the end, I realized the following: Shardul and Jerry have been wonderful contributors to the forum and our platform in general. Helping to show real world experience helps those who have helped us.
I was at peace in my warped mind.. for a moment, then I was cut off... !! 11 minutes remaining for the **** video

Dennis is super nerdy, he will make a better video.
And my exhaust does not drone like you hear in the video, that was surprising when I played it back. I guess its just the frequency and sensitivity on the MIC.
Enjoy the crotch shot!
