Rain sensing wipers gone beserk
So apparently they are sensing rain for no reason and running.
When it's actually raining, they just run at second speed. Seems to me like when it's dark outside, they think it's raining.
Are there some sort of sensors that need replacing after a while? As like a maintenance item?
My wipers are kinda worn out but I don't think that could be causing that?
Sometimes even on a sunny day they'll run and I'd have to turn the wipers off and then turn it back on and then they will stop.
Suggestions? Recommendations?

I took the module out, it is behind the rear view mirror. No broken wires or no nothing.
I took the car to my mechanic , after 5 mins of looking for the "service port" which he said this car doesn't have we tried the OBD plug in and using that DAS wasn't able to
communicate with anything , let alone this module. They need the service port to correctly diagnose the problem.
Does anyone know where that is ?
Shardul you certain that it is under wiper cowl ? or there is another one underneath there?

Ok I think your tech needs some more training in newer cars. There is no service port on post obd1 cars the obd2 port serves as a data connector to the car.
Check the part that I told you about

Agree ... you need to find a new tech or a tech familiar with newer cars. OBD port on almost every car I have seen is under steering column. He should be diagnosing with star before removing anything in any case.

Every time it's connected through the port, the machine gets a message that it cannot generate service features.
It does everything else , just not service related features.
