Any reason the regular sunroof button with the auto-close feature can't be fitted to a pano roof?

what year do you have? in 2005 they changed the pano roof system, and I believe they added auto close to it.

My buddy has an '05 and his doesn't have auto-close.

I'll have to look into that...but I'd assume they have to be. They look the same but there's a definite difference with the extra click for auto close.

I have an '06 Pano...and I can tell you it does NOT have auto-close. Hence I've been closely watching this thread

(Technically, there is ONLY 1 way to auto-close it - Hold down the recirculate/max ac button for 1 second - which will auto close all windows & pano - BUT that's not the answer for this)

I will have to check to make sure, but I don't think my 08 pano auto-closes???

well ... even with tunnel mod you still have to hold it...


its bs .... whoever can kill emselfs using a pano roof deserves it anyway...

I was hoping one of the retrofit gurus had tried or at least looked into this. If no one has any info I'll give it a shot in the next few weeks. I've got a regular sunroof as well as a pano roof E55 so I'll just see if the buttons are interchangeable.

My 06 E500 pano def did NOT have auto close

if you can just swap the switches and it works, please let us know... Ive always wanted auto close
