Rs7 is impressive... So is an awd e63tt with a $3k tune only

my friend has the RS7, its not as fast as i thought it would be. doesnt feel much faster than my e55 tbh and im stock for now. wel do some runs when i put my pulley and tune and il post results. but from the dig it is very fast because of the AWD.

The bottom line fact is that we were pretty near the top of the heap when it came to HP/traps/luxury for sometime. I mean we have had a GOOD run with few cars being a challenge.
Now all of a sudden the game is changed and Audi is building some damn fast cars with gorgeous interiors.
There is now a 63 AWD that is a monster with just a tune.
But honestly I still really dislike the rear of the W212. I think the next gen will peak my interest...but the day I spend $130K on a new car is the day a Dr. tells me I got six months to live.
So in conclusion the RS7 is a bad *** car, but is it worth $90k more than a nicely modded, well cared for E55?

I wish Audi would bring the RS6 Avant to the USA. That thing is waaaay better looking than the RS7. It really bugs me that the RS7 is no wider than the A7, given that RS cars traditionally had flared fenders and were traditionally wagons.

My car is pretty much maxed out on the bolt on s,03 SL55,and running 10.7 on race fuel and drag radials, guy by me has RS7 tune, some exhaust ,race fuel and walks away from me,I'd say low 10.6 or 10.5s ,I think just a tune puts RS7 at 10.8 ,don't think a pulley and tune is gonna help you much if your friend has a tune ,but good luck with that race lol

That is damn impressive. That Quattro does amazing stuff for the drag strip. Trap speed is also up there.
Just looked at one last week at my local dealer in dark matte grey and it is a looker. Interior is overall sportier and electronics are superior. Very nice carbon fiber outside.
My main issue is that at 125K, it was 7K more than my CLS similarly appointed.
Audi has so few RS that they want sticker for the car whereas MB sells the AMG at a good discount if you shop hard enough..

I haven't read through this whole thread but I do have some actual facts for you guys. I raced both cars discussed in here in my V numerous times and here were the results. Sorry but no video.
Rs7- (tune, downpipe, good fuel) Rolling from approx. 40 mph we start evenly and stay even till about 90mph where I start to inch away to about a 1/2-3/4 car lead and at about 140mph he starts inching back to even at about 170mph where we get out of it. It is the best races that either one of us have ever had. That's why we have done it so many times, probably about 5.
E63- (renntech tuned, downpipe, probably 93 octane) Not much to explain here...I murder him every time! He likes to start at 30mph or so, so we go out evenly... he hooks, I don't, he takes a 1-2 car length lead and by 90mph I am 2 cars in front, 130mph I am 6 cars in front.
Bottom line with similar work done...the Rs7's are going 10.60s on 93 octane and the E63's are going low 11's. Drag times tells it all.
P.S. I was supposed to go out and run the E63 yesterday morning in my e55 to see where my E stands and I was late....had a X mas party Sat. night so I was a little hung over. I will try and get with him this coming Sunday. I assume to lose by a few cars but hopefully only like 2.

Yes, we are always out there havin fun! The RS7 was on race fuel. I wrote 'good' fuel assuming that most would understand. Just wanted to point that out.
Persian sand?...I don't even know how they come up with this name bc it is absolutely like a purplish/pink. So, where does the 'sand' come in? lol
Wouldn't you assume some type of tan color?

Love it - that aint no purplish pink though. I can see that cruising through the sands of Persia... Sorta.. Actually that would look good cruising anywhere. Pity about the old interiors of old cars but there's no way of getting around that I guess.

It is also Persian sand interior!
My car is 95% original...it is cool. The interior, engine compartment, all chrome, dash face and pad, headliner is 100% original and like new, along with many other things! It is some car, I love it. I give the prior 2 owners all of the credit here! I found this car by accident!
...but it's not white!

Persian Sands works for me - just not pinkish purplish lol.
Nice ride btw...
Now back to E63's and Audi RS7's...

It's not like the RS7 is narrow though.... The thing is very wide. You want to see a narrow car look at the W211. Sometimes when I park and look at it straight on it looks like a motorcycle It's so narrow. The person who designed it was a degenerate. They make a car with an awesome design then decide to make it narrower than all of it's rivals. I get what you mean about the RS7 though. It would be nicer if it was more "distinct" than a normal A7. The W211 though, should have been 4 inches wider and 4 inches longer and way beefier. The other day I saw a C63 Black Series and the thing is bigger than an E55 Park them next to each other and the C63 looks twice as large

+1
I wonder what kind of special sauce do these things have in them to trump over the larger displacement TT AMG's.
I actually love the how the RS7 looks. I think it's true spiritual successor to the original CLS versus the gen 2.

This is true, I think the 2010 and up E63's are larger too though.
I am confused here...does he know that the one that you did find was a random caddy! It's a convertible 1959 and mine is a 1960 coupe!
I don't know what it is but when I ran him I was like WTF...

Is your turbo stock ? Look at the RS7 stock track times before you feel too bad. I imagine a tune only would put your car into a different class.
131 MPH is a seriously fast trap for tune only. Atco always has much faster than norm times and this time of year I bet the DA was super negative. Still amazing.
