FS: Pedal Box

$225 shipped in the US.

What is this Pedal Box, you ask? I'm glad you asked:

http://www.twmperformance.com/pedalb...s-pedalbox.htm

From their website:

Eliminate YOUR Mercedes’s Throttle Lag!

TWM Performance is proud to introduce a new, game changing, electronic performance part to the U.S. and Canadian automotive aftermarket. The PedalBox, a revolutionary, 3rd generation, throttle control signal amplifier, produced and developed by DTE Systems GmbH of Germany, eliminates throttle lag that most cars suffer from in stock as well as in modified engine configurations. Newer cars are plagued by drive by wire systems which inefficiently control the signal from your car’s throttle body. The PedalBox works by taking the signal from the pedal and modifying it to an efficient signal setting you choose. PedalBox features three driving modes: Sport, Sport+, and Eco mode. Each of which have their own range of customization settings, 18 in all. This allows you to finely tune your Mercedes accelerator signal in accordance to your personal driving preferences.

Features:
-3rd Generation Technology;
-Increased, precise, throttle response, more power, faster!;
-Eliminates throttle response delays;
-Car responds in approximately half the time at low rpm;
-Acceleration delay in third and fourth gear equal zero;
-Maintains power throughout the entire gear change cycle;
-Easier Overtaking in all gears;
-Plug-n-Play less than 15 minute install;
-Improved fuel consumption in Eco Mode;
-Reliable EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) cover over the housing;
-TÜV approved, German Autobahn Certified;
-Three modes with six levels of customization, 18 levels in all,
each for, on the fly, throttle MAP (Mass Air Pressure) switching;
-Each programmed for the individual car make/model;
-Further individual customization capable controller;
-Made in Germany Quality;
-Manual as well as Automatic transmission compatible;
-Glass fiber reinforced to provide heat resistance;
-Can be used on both a tuned as well as stock configurations.
A new one will cost you $275 shipped in the US.

It's only a few months old and in like-new condition. Why am I selling? Because I am running the fixed pulley and I have no throttle lag with that brutal thing. I do know someone who is running one with his clutched pulley and he loves it.

Install is easy. Plug it inline with the connector for the throttle pedal, then tuck the cable wherever you want. I had mine hiding to the left of the shifter where the middle console meets the carpet.

GLWS, OP!

No, I didn't. I got it as it came highly recommended by someone who put it in their car and loved it. If he would stop eating his boogers for just one minute, he can post his impressions.

This is not needed with FSP, since power is "instant on".. I put one on when I went back to clutched pulley, and would not get rid of it for the world. I HATE the laggy throttle response on these cars. The Pedal Box removes the majority of this lag.

Highly recommended for clutched pulley cars. The other thing I like about the Pedal Box vs. other options (sprint booster), it is highly adjustable from a switch Something like 14 settings. I am one away from the top. That means: Touch the gas a little - go a lot

After I posted I saw the bugger eating comment.. what about it???

In terms of difference: 200%.. I can set mine to stock map with the push of a button, and it IS SO DOG SLOW. Its not a placebo effect, its VERY noticeable, to the point of "OH YEA" If you have other people that drive your car, you can step it down very easy. Its awesome

That's what I was thinking, it would make a clutched pulley act somewhat like the fsp... pretty cool

Tune helps, but not like a pedal box.

I can't drive any of my MBs without it. Even my wife had me put one on her diesel.

Denroll bought this because I told him: Its a frickin night and day difference.

We get used to the crappy pedal response after a while and don't really realize how bad it is. The fact that mini vans are getting off the line faster than us in my opinion ws not ok, and I don't want to have to mash the pedal just to leave a stop in a reasonable manner.

Since Denroll was still running the FSP, this mod is not really needed. Getting off the line is much improved with an FSP. But for the rest of us: This is a must have.

Super easy, like 10 minutes if it's your first time.

Oh it works. It can go to a very twitchy setting too. Spint Booster works, but you get one setting. Pedal box goes up 12 and down 12 plus can it turn off for stock setting.

It plugs between pedal and pedal connector. Takes about 3 minutes to install if you have been drinking and its the first time with a wrench in your hand. (10mm by the way - Take pedal out, plug in - rebolt pedal.. done)

There is a button array that I extended over to the center console by seat.

Hulk, given your credibility on the forums, I am sure Denroll would offer you a "if you don't like it, send it back" guarantee. If you have a clutched pulley, the difference really is night and day, and I hope you get it so you can confirm what I an saying and since I am typically full of bull s65t

No toadster, our throttle system works on drive by wire which are notorious for being "laggy"
