Discount on TWM Performance site for PEDAL BOX

Hey guys. Unfortunately I missed out on Denroll's pedal box he had for sale but couldn't resist getting one for myself. I went to http://www.twmperformance.com/pedalbox/ , Enetered Coupon Code: DRIVINGSEASON2014 and got myself $26.50 off. Total came out to $248.40 which is a steal for one of these new. I can't wait till it comes in.

In their video it shows it going from around 30% throttle to 40% with pedal in same position. Kind of weird. Will it be harder to pedal the throttle on launch with this ?

Tempted to get one. Heck if I dont like it sell it on here for 225 shipped and only lose $25

I dont know. Read up on them a lot more on BMW forums. Lots of debate. Everyone that has one likes it. Having your foot down 50% in sport mode gives 100% throttle. That doesnt seem good to me. Seems like you would have less feel. I do a lot of twisty roads with hairpin turns. Most on those other forums argue it doesn't do anything your foot cant do and its a waste of money. Most people say it gets rid of laggy pedal feel which sounds great. But I would assume if you put the pedal at 40% instead of 20% it would feel less laggy too.

Have you ever driven E46 M3 or E39 M5? They have a "Sport" in the console which is doing exactly what the Sprint booster or the pedal box is doing. It is awesome. Pedal is a LOOOOOOT more responsive!

Is it really more responsive though ? I guess it could be called that if when you tap the pedal it is giving you twice as much throttle as before. Seems like that would make it a lot less precise and worse feeling for what the car is doing in either a launch or in tight turns.

Interesting read on BMW forum about sport mode. Seems like what I was thinking. Less feel equals slower times off the line and probably less feel in turns.

"Potentially, in the real world, you'd have a harder time getting the car to hook up in sport, and end up slower due to wheel spin. Most of the best 0-60 and 1/4 mile times posted here are in non-sport."

Agreed! This throttle signal amplification is only there so it can make you feel a little better when you go out for a nice afternoon drive. No magic/rocket , science or hidden powers in it whatsoever, but hey it is fun!
