My tcu tune is a no go for the 3.06 gears
wish I had fun feedback of my car with the 3.06 gear change but I don't 3 tries and its a no go. giving someone else a shot at it as we speak so we shall see.

Bro I know it's crazy but try shifting with the gear selecter just to see if it shifts

Odd bit about the paddles no longer being recognized. Have you tried them in manual mode? The reason I ask is that the 2003 E55 TCU only shifts in manual mode using the paddles (not sport or comfort) ... 2004 and later TCUs shift with paddles in all modes. ... perhaps the TCU thinks it is an older one now (or has been swapped?)

Is your Vin programmed in the new tcu? When I got a new transmission and new tcu the paddle shifters would not work until the tcu was programmed with my vin

1990 300ce supercharged and intercooled
Which tcu do you have. Egs 52, or 53. This could make the difference on success.
