2006 E55 AMG
some cliff notes I forgot to add that I just remembered. Cruising down to the track with my father I see this ctsv wagon enter the interstate.

I looked over at my father and smiled, he knew what was about to happen. So I pulled next to him and geared down from 5th to 3rd and then blipped the throttle to let him know what's up.

Well he hit it, and jumped out a car. I ran out third and shifted to 4th. Ran 4th out to 6000rpms and shut it down. Ended up about 4 cars ahead.

He pulled back after the run about two cars behind to take a closer look at my sled. Then took the exit and was on his way. Fun run.

Just did a quick check on Florida tracks. DA was -305 feet this morning at 10am at PBIR
At Bradenton -1116 feet
Orlando Speedway -1046 feet

These are all today at around 10am. Should I go on?

Track prep sucks? Best 60 foot in a CTSV was in Florida. Fastest CTSV florida. Stock SC CTSV doing wheelies... you guessed it Florida.

I'm getting sick of peoples excuses when their cars are slow. My run was at higher DA than all those tracks

I also cut a 1.61 on 20" R888s at Orlando as well.(back in January) It's one of the best tracks in the country from October-March now that it's got a new owner putting some of the profits back into the facility instead of in the coffers. Craig's definitely got another tenth hiding in the 60' this winter.

Those 60' are NOT at pbir, secondly when can we goto to pbir at 10am? Third look at the difference from pbir to the other tracks in fl, big difference man. You are looking at one day, look for a whole week or two and then start posting da

Sick are you? Ok bring your car down to pbir and run it and then talk

Yes you are correct sir and we have spoken about that already that OSW is great with prepping, not PBIR, ask anyone who has run at pbir and there's complaints all over

Umm MIR is closed. Where do you get your facts from?

What DA is it that you would never see in FL? PBIR is at lower elevation than MIR. Are you just making stuff up?

I think a 10.0 @ 138 (aka quickest/fastest 55) would warrant posting but I'm not sure. I will just not post and it will be like it never happened right? What have you run in your p car with proefi? DA by you seems really good!

Yes it will be fine with sun and good track prep Good luck!
I'm not sure why your so adversarial. mir is a great track. the higher heat and humidity kill any decent d/a in fl. i race at tracks all over the south. never do we see neg d/a like you get. as for posting it i think you should. does it exist if you don't? only to you and those you show the slip to. because i don't all see what you do (or anybody else who is looking for the fastest times) what was your 60 ft for the pass?

my best so far is 10.9@129 mph with a 2.0 60 ft last 2 trips to my track have been 11.6 @ 131 consistently. the 2 step is giving me a problem and my tuner is working on the issue. all my tracks within 6 hrs of me are closed except 1 . i will try to get down there in late dec if work allows. running a manual rear engine car with a 2 step is proving to be a handful. once i get the 60 ft down to a reasonable 1.7 or so i hope to run mid 10's

Exactly. Might have to bring my car down there when it's running well.

Get in your car and drive to another track then. Don't want to hear how people run fast at MIR cuz there's something magical about it. Uhh same way we run at MIR at 10am... TRACK RENTAL! You really want me to check the weather for the next week? You think MIR has negative DA every day?

Make it worth my time and I will come down there. You think you can beat me at PBIR? MIR good for about a second right?

MIR is a great track, I've never debated that. But to take away from cars that run there and act like nowhere else is a good track is absurd.

Umm do you know how DA is calculated? How does the "higher heat and humidity kill any decent d/a in Florida"? DA is CALCULATED taking heat and humidity into consideration

What's the track you are talking about that's open by you? No track is open by me. Would you be shocked if it was negative DA by you? Why do you just talk when you don't know what you're talking about. Just like you have done many times in the past.

If you cant run a good 60' in an AWD turbo car on standalone (proEFI) with 2 step and traction control then I don't know what to tell you man.

You are the one that brought up pbir and it's negative da and track prep, not me, I corrected you, wow man.
You are the one who tells everyone to come to Mir to break records etc, in fact you even told 305-E55 to come to Mir so he could run faster than his 10.39

I would love to see your car run 10.0 or better here

ok i see this is going nowhere. your the greatest racer who knows all about everything. fwiw my car isn't awd and my 2 step was just installed a few weeks ago. until then i have been running a manual car with 650rwhp rear engine and 630 ft/lbs. as for negative d/a the best i have seen by me is -500 on a 45* day. the only track open by me is jackson sc house of hook. I'm done here ill talk to craig in person. btw what was your 60 ft? i see you sidestepped that question

On that pass 1.527

Because the heat and humidity are much higher the d/a is higher altitude isn't the main determining factor. Is that good enough for you?

-1000 DA at MIR is the same as -1000 DA at PBIR. I don't really understand what you are saying. You just continue thinking whatever you want and we can agree to disagree. I'm done with this. Time to go fast and help others do the same. Good luck with your car, hope to line up with you at the track some day

Here is what I see going on here. All the guys that do not go as fast as others seem to think that Atco and MIR are magical tracks and you guys think that you are going to go a 1/2 second faster! Not gonna happen guys, I challenge you to try it! You may go a tenth faster. Prep is another story but Ahmad is right, go check the CTSV forum and see all of the fast V's and how good their 60' times are in Florida. They never compare their tracks and our tracks, to a point though. Everyone compares tracks here and there but mainly from like parts of Arizona and Colorado, etc. Ahmad is right on this too guys, negative DA is negative DA! I was going to bring my V their to Fla. this winter and would have loved to run over their. I would bet anyone that I would go a 10.50 there as well! I would, of course, pick a good cool day with good DA. It's quite simple!

Anyway, the good news is that I pretty much bought an 06 e55 and will have that in Fla. and I will run it their and then when I return to NY I will run it here and show the times and we will see the difference. Car will probably only run a high 11 but not buying one to run at the track or go real fast (have the V for that)...JUST LOVE THE CARS!

that would be correct. that is if you could ever get -1000 d/a in fl which would be unlikely you will ever see. it wasn't being discussed that the d/a was different but rather that the d/a isn't as good. this is because the weather in fl is much different than virginia. same as it is in tn with 300 ft elevation in places. it was 70* in clayton ga this yr and the d/a was 5300 due to starting at 2500 elevation add heat and humidity.

i would love the chance to run a 10.0 car. no matter the disagreement thats a proper run and deserves the proper aknowedgement. so many think its as easy as dropping the hammer and hooking. its much more complicated as i have found out in 3+ decades of racing

100%...last week DA was -860 at 11am and -150 at 1pm...then went to positive DA like 250 in the next hour or two. Happens a lot though.

Just go as fast as you can and be safe...not like me...I'll be running guys this sunday morning and will be going way too fast on the street! lol Let's just hope I win a couple! I will use my gopro for the first time this year for sure!
