Brake Fluid ???? Which kind, sorry to make a thread. Also AMG grille badge??
Sorry guys seeing different threads not totally giving answer for this and I need it know to order correct Brake Fluid for 08' E63. Its a DD no tracking. I am flushing the system next week and ordered the Motive bleeder and need to get the best fluid for it. I you can give suggestions I will pick it up today. Thanks
I noticed a member also having a AMG badge in-between the slits in his front grille. I thought it looked fairly nice and wondered where it came from. I am painting mine black next week and thought something to break it up a little might be nice. If anyone knows where it came from could you let me know please.
Again sorry to make a thread to beat a dead horse, but hopefully some quick answers and then the thread can be buried.
Thanks

I saw this, but.... my question is I have a 63 not a 55. Does that even matter. I am assuming not, but want to make sure?

Ordered 2 L of Castrol SRF, after looking at all the different kinds, I just said why not. It is one of the highest rated. Also looked at the Motul RBF ones and the 5.1. Has anyone done the SS braided brake lines on their 55/63's. Just wondering if that helps on these.

Hi,
On the grill badge - yea, I copied another member on the idea and just made my own. EBay a purchase on the emblems and use flat stock to stick them to. Make it black before you adhere them and zip tie or tap n drill for more permanent solution. It is custom so what you put in in time and materials is what you get out of it.
Unless someone here knows a source for it. I have seen a smaller version on the new MB's but that will cost juuuuuust a little more..

yes that is it!!!! The other thread was to a Amazon one, but emailed the store owner and they can't tell me how they ship. Language barrier I guess, Answered one out of three questions. And didn't answer my first to begin with.
MaLice----- are you in the UK? If so would you mind grabbing me one, and obviously I will pay for it all. Paypal?

I went with Castrol SRF to try that out. Got 2L of fluid (132$) so I can make sure its flushed well. Motive pump so should be easy, and I am doing the caliper painting at the same time. So Taking those OFF the car to do it.
Stainless Steel Brake lines ????? Anyone done those?

easy swap for the brake lines. if your flushing the system now is the time. for fluid motul rbf 660 is as high tech as you need to go. unless your racing a road course its unlikely you will ever see temps in excess of 660*

PR, DR, DF, PF is the pattern right? I know furthest away first. The ABS module is right in from of passenger front tire, but couldn't find (didn't look that hard) for the resivoir. Got the DIY Sticky saved, just gonna read it over before doing. OR as doing.
I will see if I can order the brake lines overnight if I can find the right one. Amazon I thought they might be right, but didn't want to guess.

With a fly by wire system like the E55, you will never feel a differences with ANY fluid

its not s much pedal feel but rather the chance of boiling the fluid on a track day. lower dry temps will boil out rather quickly and not give you the stopping distance you may need i find the rbf 660 to be fairly priced and a great boiling point. src is great fluid but very costly. ate super blue is being discontinued at most places and not allowed at a lot of hdpe events

E63 isn't the Fly by Wire system anyway, so for me there will be feel. Understand about the feel part in the 55's. But boiling points would matter , but for track days
