570HP 4 Door Stretched Executive Porsche
It's not an AMG or even a Merc but I imagine this is a vehicle that most in this forum can appreciate. Only 100 Panamera Exclusive models have been built which are based on the Panamera Turbo S Executive but now boast 570 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Porsche also stretched the wheelbase of the original Panamera by nearly six inches and added a custom two-tone black-and-chestnut paint job plus other finishing touches to justify the $310,000 price tag. Lovely looking vehicle albeit a little pricey lol.

Sure if your looking for a traditional Porsche (who have almost perfected the 911 lineage) but this fills a different niche and is targeted towards a different demographic - a demographic not unlike many members here. It is a powerful sports sedan with room for 4 people in comfort and their luggage - sound familiar...

The longer I own my E55 the more I appreciate it's aesthetics also and the wagon is no different. Looking at yours it has balanced and aggressive lines (especially with that E63 front end) and I know how passionate the wagon owners can be. I can also see from the perspective of an E55 wagon owner the look of the Panameras back end might initially look a little awkward and it has taken me a while to start appreciating it. I think that is because of the strong preconceived Porsche aesthetic expectation that everyone has. (Try and say that 10 times fast). I know different strokes for different folks and some will never like it but personally I see it as a higher priced more exclusive option to an E63/S63/S65.

Since when is a Panamera considered traditional Porsche?
I also think the standard wheelbase is just fine for 4 people and luggage. This was not built to make Porsche more luxurious. This was built in order to compete with the long wheelbase BMW 7-series and MB S-Class, plain & simple.

Maybe my Aussie sarcasm didn't translate too well:
"As if the Panamera wasn't long enough already"
"Sure if your looking for a traditional Porsche .. but this fills a different niche.."
And this is a $310,000 car - it aims to outdo BMW 7 series and the S63/S65.

Audi S4 (sold), E46 M3 (sold) 05 E55 silver/black(sold)
I like the Panamera but I can't help but think we'll see this car a few years down the road, missing it's luggage and selling for a fraction of it's new car price.
I've grown to like the lines of the Panamera. The boot space, not so much. It's absolutely useless. There was a Panamera Shooting Brake prototype at the LA Auto show a couple of years ago that looked pretty good, but I guess they've decided not to build it:

Tne Panamera is an ugly car, traditionally speaking....but it's one of thise cars I'm glad exists....do you know what I mean..?? It's a car I can appreciate. It's weird and quirky, I like it and I think Porsche is really brave for deciding to sell it because the design was a huge gamble. I guess these companies can get away with more things than your average car maker. It's still a Porsche after all.
