Filled up car (W211 e55 AMG) ready for blast to the lakes and a couple of miles into the journey and the wipers have stopped working. The indicators left and right still work on stalk and so does the screen wash.
I had just washed the car

Any ideas? I have no malfunctions on dash

When you push for windshield washer do the wipers work? If they don't check your fuses in the front, 2 yellow block fuses

Wipers don't work when pushed for windscreen wash
Where are the fuses located, is this common.
I am gutted I had just filled up the car ready for a drive

Under the hood, driver side black box. If they are good then it could be your wiper motor which is not hard to change

UPDATE

Got in the car this morning now the wipers are working but ive done nothing
Drove to pub and came out and now not working again

Car is going for B service at Indy. Should I get them to look into the problem or get auto electrician or take to main dealers


The car came with warranty and its covered if wiper motor failure but not damage caused by water ingress.

Consider the idea, that maybe you got water where it shouldn’t have been, when you washed it.
