I believe they lost favor with this crowd because they were prone to cracking

I ran Forgestar F14s for a few years, both in 18s and 19s. 18s held up well and are light, but the 19s did crack. Good looking wheels, but they are prone to cracking.

Oh boy I was looking to get 20s. In those pictures they 19s.? I thought these would of been one of the better wheels in the price range of 300-400 a wheel

What would be a better wheel in that price range. I read bad reviews of mostly all cast wheels crack ?

I would suggest looking for better quality wheels, but used, from the classifieds on this forum. That's how I got my forged wheels for just over your $400/wheel budget and that was with tires.

I've cracked multiple OEM wheels. CLS and factory W211 E55. Make sure you run a quality tire. That has helped me a lot.

I have them, and love them. They look great on an E55 and are very light.

Semi-Concave
Front: 19x8.5 +32

Deep Concave
Rear: 19x10 +35

Here's a few random pics from my phone...

^ Thanks man! They look better in person. Forgestars are great wheels - lightweight, cheap, and in merc sizes.

If you are going to get Forgestar wheels, understand that they are disposable wheels. Get them if your looking to replace wheels annually.

Forgestar offers no warranty.

See my experience here. All the cracks were on the inside barrel.
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ar-wheels.html

The last reply I got from them
A structural failure is something like the spokes of the wheels cracking on their own not due to impact, other road hazard or an accident.. Cracks and bends on the barrel due to impact are NOT considered a structural failure. Unfortunately no one else has the type of testing equipment we use to test the wheels.
When asked how they would test the wheels they did not reply.
