Any chance of fitting 20x9.5 wheels on the front?

I did search quite a bit and I know most run 8.5 or 9 inch wide wheels up front. It seems around 35mm offset is about right and then some actually run spacers. I was looking at a set of wheels that are staggered 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 et42 all around. The backs seem about perfect but the front is questionable. I think the will fit fine on the outside but maybe not the inside? Are we just talking about losing a bit of turning radius or is it more serious? Probably looking at a 255 tire. Need a little help from people that run a bit more aggressive wheel sizes. I do no want to bend the front fenders up after the first dip, pothole or speed bump.

Maybe I should keep looking for 19's but I think I can get a decent deal.

You may have to grind the ball joint end on the upper wish bone to clear the tire

FWIW I'm running 20*10 et27 (245/30/20) all around on my wagon. I do have to drive very carefully when low, though.

Originally the wheels were et37 and I added 10mm spacers. It fight fine originally, as well.

Do you mean I just need to grind the threads down on the upper ball joint or is there more to it? Any adverse affecs to doing this? I doubt it, usually pretty difficult to remove ball joints when you want to. Any issues with the steering knuckle itself?

That wagon is sweet!!! I am not looking to go anywhere that low. But if you were running 10's et37 that should be within a mm or 2 of 9.5 et42. Sounds promising. Did you need to do much to get them to fit? 245s would give more stretch but I am hoping to get as much wheel protection as possible.

Love the cl with the Kleemann's. The wheels I am looking at are Kleemann ts-6. My car was owned by Kleemann who used the car for mapping ecu's and is local to me so I figured they would be a pretty nice tribute to the car. Not the easiest wheels to find used.

That aggresive ET make me believe they are made for CLS model.
It's not going to work.
I have seen AMG wheels with ET28 9.5" in front of E55 and thats very near limit.
