Painted my Interior wood trim Hyper Silver
So this is my first thread, so please take it easy on me. This weekend me and my girlfriend decided to rip apart the interior in order to paint all of the interior trim pieces. Hope you guys like it! If you have any questions regarding prep or paint please feel free to ask! Thanks for looking!😋

I was thinking about doing piano black but then I changed my mind because my exterior and wheels are black so I opted for something that would pop rather than blend in. I'm just happy the wood is gone 🙏🏼

And yes please share how you prepped and if there were any issues.
Also if it "exacerbated the misalignment" that would be because it is cleaner - so being cleaner surely cant be a bad thing...?
This looks freaking great!

Well I like the color and the combination of it. If you hit it with some polyurethane and made it shiney and smooth your reviews would be better.. The fact is if you like it that's all that counts.

[QUOTE=A-A-Ron;6531531]Are all of the interior pieces able to be removed from the car? Do they just pop out?
TIA[/QUOTE
In order to remove the door trim you have to remove the door panels
The trim that runs across the dash board pops out as well as the ash tray and gear shift trim.
Once the ash tray is removed you'll see two screws holding the cd changer in place. Once you remove those screws, then you can slide the cd changer out as well as disconnecting the wires behind it. I used pelicanparts.com and it showed me step by step how to remove everything

I think you did a great job. Nice to see something fresh even if it isn't to everyone's taste although I dare-say it would be better appreciated in person.

Haha Sam you've never been one to pull punches. Lucky the op asked to "please take it easy on me." otherwise I'd hate to think how much you would have ripped into him.

Seriously though, that trim is more misaligned that normal, it's really off, not sure how that happens, it shouldn't move or anything. Maybe the door card is installed incorrectly.

I wrapped my E500 dash with 3M 1080 Brushed Metallic vinyl and it came out great. It looks and feels like aluminum. They make it in silver too. Stuff is awesome and easy to work with.

I have this sitting on my desk. I was wondering what it would look like. How hard was it to cut/wrap around the thin chrome accent piece?

Easier than I thought it would be. This was my first and only time wrapping anything. I just took me time and disassembled everything I could.
