Has anyone gotten their phone problems fixed?
Basically, the party on the other end of the call can hear themselves feeding back. The dealer is convinced that there is a problem, as they have been able to duplicate it, but they have been unable to resolve it.
I have this problem even when the volume is set very low, as I fully understand that keeping the volume too high will cause this problem.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, has your dealer been able to resolve it?
My car has spent about 15 days in the shop for this problem, and it is going back in next week, even though the dealer has indicated that they don't know what to do next.
Thanks.
Abnormal as I never had it in my previous R230 or W210.

Either way, however, I'm not satisfied with the current state of affairs, and given that the phone with VCS costs about $2K, I'm getting more and more pissed. I get much better call quality by using the phone with a headset attached, and while that may be a viable short term solution until the problem is properly fixed, I find a headset to be an unacceptable compromise in a vehicle of this caliber.
I'm scheduled to bring it back to the dealer again this week, but I am quickly losing confidence in their ability to resolve the issue, and I am beginning to think that I may have to begin playing hardball soon.
Anyway, I did also speak with a tech at Motorola, who dumped the issue back into Mercedes' lap. I then spoke briefly with a person at MB tech suppport at their US headquarters in New Jersey, and am waiting for him to call me back, but I'm not holding my breath.

I am thinking about buying a used 2003 E55 with alomst all the bells & whistles on it available. Only 6000 miles w/ Panoram roof, solar panel, rear & side window blinds, Parktronic, Key Go & integrated V60 phone w/ handset. Of course it has Xenons too along with electr trunk closer in other words , No Nav (wasn't available yet), No Distronic & No tire pressure monitor. Color is Pewter over charcoal. Car is in San Francisco Area. How much is a good deal for this car. The ******* won't go below 82 grand. I think that the car should be 3-4 grand cheaper considering it's already a year & a half old in terms of model years (only 8 months old in real terms though) What do you think?

BTW, I'd also suggest posting your question as a new thread as there are undoubtedly others on ths board who are more qualified to offer an opinion.
Best of luck...
