Be careful or better yet don't
I know many in here do races in the street especially new comers to this platform but watch this video and then ask yourself if it's worth it.
2 men died while doing pulls on the street "for fun" and both were killed instantly, one of the men was a father of a 5 year old...

Please take it to the drag strip or race track. Track fee's are far cheaper than a speeding ticket, death/funeral, or totalling out several cars if you hit somebody.

It's dangerous. I usually only do it on clear lanes on the highway. Really shouldn't though. These car go 70-120 so fast it's easy to find danger. I don't go high speeds anymore. That was fun in my younger years.

The death of Paul Walker star in the Fast and Furious movie franchise also comes to mind.

Apparently drag strips aren't much safer.

Searously though, If I ever stretch my cars legs on the street, I never do it on city roads, buisy areas, tree lined streets, streets with intersections and or parking lots where cars can pull out etc.. In other words, use common sense. Which is hard to come by these days.

I literally learned to drive in the 50's on Sunset Blvd., Mullholland Drive and Malibu Canyon Road with the likes of Lance Reventlow, Bruce Kessler, Steve McQueen, James Dean and on and on. In retrospect, it is truly remarkable that I am here today to post this comment. Would I do it all over again? Oh Yeah! But it was a different time and different world that unfortunately shall not pass this way again. They were the last beautiful days which turned out to be the end of innocence in America. A somewhat similar innocence exists still today in Germany, but it is fading fast and it too shall soon be lost forever.
My father was a producer/writer with Warner Bros. and wrote, directed and produced this public service short with our friends Gig Young and, well he'll need no introduction.

So what you are saying is that it's ok to roll race?
Do you now that even if the person you are racing against hits someone and kills them you too will be liable and will be charged with a crime as well.

Mack you are absolutely correct but can't negate the fact that the camera caught the last seconds of their lives and many many people here do "pulls" on the street while recording and just one thing goes wrong and a family can be destroyed.

That video has me rolling on the floor laughing. What scared me was the safety of others but those 2 idiots should win a Darwin award. They're doing colossal speeds for that stupid piece of junk car through CORNERS. They had a death wish, PERIOD. They were on drugs by the way. I think most of the people here aren't retards on drugs and I think the E55 is a "little" safer and more stable than that car. I've also never seen anyone here post a video like this. It's usually a small roll, 2nd to 3rd gear on a straight road or similar. It's good advice but honesty is apples to oranges in the least sense. I'm so glad those retards didn't crash into a bystander though, that would have been tragic but their death was natural selection, just listen to them speak, they're not exactly...educated or blessed with intelligence. Frankly they shouldn't have been walking around without a helmet.
By the way check out that Georgian guy in an E34 M5 driving through Russia like a MANIAC!! Now that guy needs your advice. He's dead, ironically as a passenger but he used to push his and other people's luck way too far. He was skilled no doubt but it's really not about "skill" on public roads, it's unpredictable and spontaneous. He was driving like a bat out of hell. If he ran a friend or family member of mine over he would be in a world of pain and I should imagine anyone's family or friends. He had NO regard for other people's lives. I don't think the same thing can be said about the members here who might do some straight line roll ons with their cars while having a very clear area around them. There's always risk but some people are overtly playing with people's lives, those are the real menaces.
