28inch tall tire on e55

Is it possible to get a 28inch tall tire to work on a e55. Would like to try a taller tire to get a better roll out

28" is a really tall tire. It would effectively lengthen your gear ratio. You would not be passing through the traps at the same high rpm as you would when you keep near stock. But, your car is making big power and you got the spray so it might work!

I would stay away from bias ply tires. the 255 16s look like the proven winner for the fast guys.

Search Chawkins. Cant remember if he got them working, but he had them on for a few runs I believe.

I ran them, they fit fine and hooked nice. You will need to run just as tall of a front so it does not go into limp mode.

2.62 rear?

It'll put you @140 at the top of 3rd gear with a 6200rpm limit.

MH racemaster 325/17 is 28" tall and a great DR.

He's faster than the fast guys though. I think a slick will help but need a bias ply front runner too

Definitely need a bias front, I tried without running the fronts and the heavy w211 body wiggled so bad I could not get a full pass in.

FYI, I had the exact same combo with the weistec blower and a 75rwhp wet shot, the 28's never broke loose at the Tree
