Talking ecumaster piggyback upp and running

hello everyone
first post

this weekend i wired in and mapped my e55-03
whith a ecumaster piggyback

my car iss curently running whith a 77mm fsp, 82mm tb, headers and no cats
3 meth nozzles mapped by pwm

before this whith my mail tune the car has allways been lean when on throttle from low rpm

took me literaly 5 minutes to map this out whth the piggy
runns so nice and strong now
and also whith a safe switch map when running out on meth

this is my daily driver now going thru a coold winter in sweden

Wow at 450.00 this looks great. How difficult was it to learn the system and hook up everything?

Nice work, would you consider making a plug and play harness for us non-mechanically gifted types?

i think you can have what piggyback you want upp and working on this car
my choice for ecumaster was just beacause it has two spare pwm outputs
so i can run the meth nozzles thru the piggy

it can never be a plugg in because you have to tap the wires from the ecu
butt sure i can make a base file, and install instuctions

I used to run MAP-ECU on a 2jz and it was definitely easy to work with. I know some people don't like Piggy backs but I've had good experiences.

I've found piggybacks more difficult to learn but once you're acclimated on setup, they do the job. Welcome to the site by the way and good luck with the fine tuning!

I used to do a lot with piggybacks and standalones back in my Toyota/Lexus days, they are great if you use it right (keep the stock ecu happy and it will not interfere with your modifications). I wish I had seen this post a year ago, I would have solved a lot of my FSP problems from the onset.

Map sensors prone to limp mode if you go near or over 17 psi sometimes less depends, at least mine have done that in the past ,throws a code

what volt is that? as i say i dont have a problem at correction up to 4,6v an that should be ecual to over 19psi

4,2v should be near 17 psi and could also be clamped there iff a problem occur

at what voltage have the problem been present?

mine clamp is currently set at 4,6v

mine 77mm fsp oveboost to near 17 psi on low rpm when i step on it
then it settles around 14-15 psi

bigg pulleys maybe overboost to over 20 psi
and that is not possible to see on a crappy obd logger

i think the real problem is around 20-21 psi there is where our map sensor hit the wall and volt spikes to near 5v

wehen the mapcensor dont spike 4v is around 14,6psi

its so slippery here now so cant do long sollid pulls

but allready i can say 19 psi solid is not a problem on my car
that is what i put out to the stock ecu on the safe tune whitout meth

This is super cool. I've been waiting for someone to lay the foundation for this. I'll be watching your thread. Are you able to log a wideband with that program. Also can you monitor knock with it?

the numbers you se in the map is logged afr numbers from wideband
im awaiting a leaner base file, i dont like to take so mutch fuel away on the map whitout meth,
the 3 aem 500cc meth nozles i run thru pwm requiers to take 1-1,5 point afr away from the fuelmap itself

you can logg the volt nrs from the knocksensor iff you like
the logging is working on all in and out from the det3 its alsso has a rolling dyno that can be plotted from the logg
butt that is offcorse showwing fals nr iff the whels are spinning
so i must wate for the summer whith better traction for that

butt i can tell even whith this rich basefile, it runns realy strong whith the 72mm pulley and beltwrap

this is a log showing a boost spike 1,4 bar=20psi
analog1 is map voltage showing 5v=limp home voltage
analog out is map voltage that det3 is putting out to stock ecu
its clamped at 4,6v so no limp home map problem

What are you able to control? Im in the slow process of creating a parallel pnp haltech elite 2500 system. It's not cheap, its nowhere near limited on features, and its the be all end all for tuning solutions.
