I'm gonna drive this car off a cliff...
Ok, now that I have your attention...
I need some advice from the forum. My car was stock when I bought it (November 2015). Bone stock, low mileage and to me, it was fast even then. I stored the car away because I live in the Northeast. Over the last couple of months, I performed some maintenance and upgrades:
Valve cover gaskets
New colder plugs
Removed SC, changed its oil
EC tune
82mm OEM TB
Kleeman Headers
77mm clutched SC pulley
550cc injectors
Custom intake
Etc., etc.
Put the car all back together and it threw one code: P0112. Low circuit input for the IAT sensor. Fine. Not a big deal right?
So, I changed the sensor and rewired the harness since it was damaged during dis-assembly. Code won't go away. The Torque app I have registers -40 degrees for IAT which means it's not working correctly.
Anyway, I take the car for the inaugural test drive assuming it should be a *******g Ferrari-shredder now with all these mods and accompanying tune. IT'S SLOWER THAN IT WAS WHEN STOCK!!!
It feels on par with my 2012 Maxima....seriously. It starts fine. Idles fine. Changes gears well. Sounds mean. It's just a lame duck. Get into the gas pedal and there's just no violence there at all.
Does anyone have ANY idea what I'm missing here? Is that IAT sensor robbing me a ton of power? Since I replaced the sensor and terminals, I assume there has to be a short in the wiring.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

-40 is default for open circuit so you will have no sc engagement. unplug from the sensor and while monitoring the -40 value jump the terminals to simulate a short and see if the temp value maxes out over +200 and that will tell you wiring is good. if nothing changes then ohm out the 2 pins and see if there is some resistance value or just an open. start with that.

Thanks guys. I didn't log boost but that would have been a solid idea
It felt as though there was so SC surge. Makes perfect sense now. I'm gonna have to get this wiring sorted ASAP.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I'm not sure where the sensor and all is-but a simple check when the SC doesn't engage is when the wire lossens up and detaches.
There is a small hose near Crank position sensor. Even if you touch it little but with excessive force it becomes loosens and comes out and in that
scenario. It'll feel like a 300hp car with , well like your Maxima.
Not sure if that's the issue but just check the hose. Good luck bro!

Call Mike. Have him bring over star and at the same time he can check your wiring. I can also lend a hand.

Thanks Dave. I was at my wits end with this. Jay and I even dug into it a little bit today. I dropped it off at Blackforest tonight. Gonna have them take a look. Hopefully it's an easy fix. I'll let you know.

If Jason @ Blackforest has it...then it's in good hands. Did you see his cl600 ?
