rough idle/ticking noise when starting up vehicle?

rough idle/ticking noise when starting up vehicle?
today when i started up the e55 and left it on for awhile to test my lights i noticed a rough idle while in park mode (usually is rough when i start it up) but when i got out of the card i noticed a "ticking" noise from the engine and it almost sounded like the engine was going to turn off soon....
it drove fine no issues but that startup noise sounded odd...anyone know what this may be due to?

ticking sounds
I have an e63 and I can say that after owning my car for just a few months, I noticed a similar sound and found that the motor mounts had to be replaced. Not a huge expense.
But in addition, over the past four years, there has been a number of oil related issues that also had the dreaded ticking noises.
I'm keeping my remaining fingers crossed that the car has finally settled down, but I think in reality it is just a matter of time before it rears its ugly head.
