Just signed up for EPC. Waste of 75 bucks.
It looks like something a dealer would have along with days of training to know what all the codes mean. I'm looking to buy another ML for winter and wanted to be familiar with the options of the different years, and be able to look up vins and see what they had. I can't even get started. I'm having my wife pick one out, and I thought this would help her search. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Any suggestions on how to use the site? That is what I can't figure out, I had read on a post from 2009 that there is a place you can put the VIN in and it will show all the options. I can't seem to figure out how to get there.
Thanks, Sharyn

If it is a valid VIN, the data card will be accessible; should not be grayed out. Example below using my car. Enter the VIN in the attached .jpg and see if you can pull down the data card. The VIN will remain in your drop down menu until you delete it.

You can buy a knock off DVD that has WIS and EPC on ebay for about $10.
If you just want to look up options the VIN has, you should just use these VIN decoders:
http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Mercedes-Benz
http://www.neoriginal.ru/cat/mb
I prefer the above sites because EPC takes too long to load. Now you can get one that has all the options. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a car listed as fully loaded but they usually just have the base package or just one or two main options.

I guess I should ask the forum before making any MB related purchases.
