Billet Anodized Fuel Lids with -8AN Supply and -6AN Return!!
Good Morning everyone!
I think this has been tossed around... but I'm looking to gauge the interest of fuel tank lids, Billet, Anodized, and with provisions to a very nice fuel system if you desire it now, or in the future! I already have 10 pieces in the works, so those are getting built no matter what for some folks... I do however have the ability to add on to this order!
***PLEASE NOTE***, the actual lid is a long ago previous version, its been in a vise, welded on, hammered, etc... the rendering will be more like what you will be looking at. It will as stated have a -8AN fuel supply provision, a -6AN return provision, and a factory harness connector already pinned you so just drop it in, and plug it in... no splicing needed. On the underside, you will have more ontions... if you choose return fuel, we can supply you a venturi that will allow you to get the fuel from the drivers side via the current jet pump outlet line... if not, we can help you with the configuration on your tank internals to make everything work. We've spent the time to sort it all out, source parts, do testing, design parts, etc...
Can we get a headcount of the interested folks?! Pricing will be about $250, but **could be a little less**. I will say that for short run (quantities under 100) most CNC shops charge a premium.. and we aren't looking to make much money on these lids, just cover our costs. I will also be making some videos soon about upgrading your pumps, so the DIY'ers can get that done... or if you want to buy all the parts and ship them here, I'd be happy to retrofit them for you I have come to advance the platform

Cool stuff!
There's not a lot of demand for this right now because of the extended warranty, but in the next couple years as the warranty expires... You'll be the MAN!

Very cool idea.
Would you explain how you ran the return line ? And did you change (enlarge) the pickup line in the tank?
I would love to also add a looped fuel rail. Thanks

So the car this is installed in is powered by E85, on our Flex Fuel system. The return comes from an external, boost referenced FPR/Filter setup. It's fed by a pair of Walbro 450's that I installed in the factory baskets. Because using this lid in it full potential would include the absence of fuel pressure to the jet pump (to siphon fuel from the drivers side back to the pass side) it also uses a venturi on the pass side, that draws fuel from the existing pickup on the drivers side.
Once I have a new completed lid, I will assemble the pump/lid setup with a diagram pointing out all the players
Thanks!

It's true - there are a lot of folks who do live outside the US and need it... I started the run without buyers, or deposits... so I feel that should tell you about the level of commitment I have to solving this issue.

I'm in Canada but my car was born in the USA. I have contacted a dealer in Buffalo and can get the warranty work done, but it's a hassle and they will have the car for who knows how long. I have the fuel smell when I fill er up. Will these lids solve that problem? I'd rather give you the money than **** around with the dealer.

Problem is that the dealer must confirm the problem themselves first. After that they need to order the tank which I have heard could be a while. Such a hassle having to go to states. Looks like I'll book a trip soon to have it all replaced. I have 140k miles so times coming due I suppose.

The lids are a great additional option.
Dave - I would love to do add the lids, larger lines, and a return setup. If you can give me an idea on what is involved and cost, it would be very helpful. Thanks

You are talking about two of these? One for each side? I'm in but it seems like maybe the return should just be -8 as well? Or just drill for -8 orb and we can increase if needed.
Depending in where you are, I have a friend in my other car community who has a place that does good machining in smaller quantities.

-8AN will comfortably support 900-1000whp on E85, way more on gas, and -6 return should be sufficient.
Thanks!
