Can we consolidate brake pads available with numbers?
Good Morning everyone;
Like most, I am in the need for brakes, both Front and Rears, both discs (rotors) and pads.
I tend to like more aggressive track style pads and am looking for what might be available for W211 E63's and can't seem to find a comprehensive list
So, can you help me (and future E63 W211 owners and help compile a list of what pads (with part numbers for both front and rear) are available and if you can, comment on what you like or don't like about each pad?
I see some chatter that pads are available from Pagid, Porterhouse, Ferodo, (stock obviously), Racing Brake, among others.
Personally I am a fan of Performance Friction, due to their initial bite (different on pad compounds but workable) and modulation, but hey, to each his own. But that said, PF does not seem to make pads for the E63, unless I can cross reference a part number - hence the ask here for lists and part numers
Best

MBWorld Fanatic!
Stop Tech makes pads for the E63, although I can't provide you with any comments, as I've never use them.

See RacingBrake's comprehensive brake pad offer for Mercedes (including E63)Hundreds of Mercedes owners are in favor of RB brake pads. Learn from this SL550 customer why he was so happy with RB's ET500 (XT910) for its low dust (everyone hates heavy black dust), non squeaking performance street pads with excellent initial bite and very liner modulation.

Hey Racing Brakes! I sent you an email this am on this topic earlier and you respond quickly, Thanks!
However, you did not provide a part number and if I remember correctly, you only make front pads for the E63?
Do you sell your pads only directly or also through distributors?
What is the part number of your pads?
Thanks for all you do and for joining the conversation.

Sorry, found it on your site
ET500: Aggressive Street - Provides additional stopping power over ET300; low dust and little to no squeaking.
ET700-900: Advanced Street - For very adventurous street driving. Not for use on the track, as high temperatures will greatly accelerate pad wear. For track racing, use our XT-Series brake pads.
XT910: Medium initial bite, medium to high friction and brake torque.
RB Motorsports Compounds
The XT Series compounds were developed to handle the toughest track braking conditions. All of our XT series can deliver consistent brake torque, are excellent in modulation and highly resistant to wear, friendly to rotors, brake dust is easy to clean, and brake control.
XT960: Medium initial bite, high friction and brake torque.
XT970: High initial bite, Extremely high friction and brake torque.
XR70: Track dedicated/No compromise for the dedicated track ca

RB, you recommend the XT910 and ET500 for the front and rear.
Can you comment on the pros and cons of stepping up to the XT970 (F) and XT910 (R)?
I am assuming they are more aggressive pads, but are they too much for the street? As in to the require so much heat (that you can only get at the track) that they don't work well in normal driving conditions?
Thanks!

ET500 is our original street performance compound, while XT910 is an improved compound with a higher temperature resin so it's more heat resistant than ET500 for heavy cars (front) such as Mercedes, GTR, Jeep SRT8 etc.
Both compounds offer very low dust, no squeaking and liner (modulation) braking, the most popular brake pads set up for Mercedes for performance street driving.
XT970 is a more aggressive compound for intermittent tracking which offers better braking power on tracks but will squeak on street.
