So been following the intake comparison dyno thread with lots of interest an have been rackng my brain trying to think of options. I may have an idea an wanted to see what people thought.
i mean the intake dyno showed that without the K & Ns it gained over 30 rwhp thats crazy and then with no intake the thing made 50 more above 6250 WOW! So been tryin to think of some sort of 3.5 inch mandrel bent intake that would work well, fit nice, get cool outside air, and it would make the supercharger sound much louder.
so i was thinking a really nice tight bend from the TB that turned toward the passanger side and after bending down the brake lines you could cut right into that lil wall right there a nice 3.6 inch hole to side the intake pipe through, it you remove the cabin filter box u ciuld nestle a big cone filter right there against the box thus acting like the cabin filter but also the air filter. An being the open cowl is right above giving it cool outside air should act like a cold air intake as well. Any thoughts on this???
3 5 tight bend from tb to passanger cabin filter area
Will that cowl opening in hood provide enough airflow??
not positive but looks to have enough airflow its completely open to outside air .... its sealed off from underhood head when hood is closed ... and it extends over to the other side of the hood.
I do not see the air being channeled or forced towards the intake. unless you could change the opening on the hood vents/cowl to help force some air towards the filter. Small scoop perhaps haha
Why don't you build the worlds first W211 E55 Air Grabber!!
Two issues:
1. No cabin air filter.
2. Intake noise will feed directly into the cabin.
actually was thinking of using the intake filter as the cabin filter having the tube angled to lay the intake filter along the opening acting as both. An as for issue two ..... mmmmm music to my ears haha.

i like how u think i use to own a 1970 roadrunner 440+6 with the airgrabber option .... it was pretty cool.
