going to do mine by myself tomorrow prob in my garage. How long did it take you guys? Seems pretty simple to be honest, just bolts and taking it off. Unless I’m under estimating it lol.

Pretty sure the current EC midlengths require a flange to be welded on to the stock eaxhaust, unless you got a used older set of EC long tubes that they haven't sold in a while.

drothgeb is correct about welding in of the downpipes. One thing I would recommend you do tonight is spray as many of the exhaust manifold nuts you can reach with lubricant (Liquid Wrench or WD-40). It will make things a whole lot easier for you tomorrow.

Heaps of people have used them. Yes to welding on the tubes and also some of them are not quite as close fitment as you would like and can need some minor creative pipework + short mild bends to get to where they need to be. Even if they were bolt on though, most cars 10 years and older it is always going to be a minor challenge getting the hardware apart and not breaking bolts or stripping threads. Poor access requires lots of different types of tools to get in there.

I already spoke to an exhaust shop, bolts come with headers, gasket/I got gasketmaker to put on the headers. Saw a video where a guy put gasketmaker and then the gaskets on top.

You shouldn't need gasket maker if the flanges are perfect and the correct gasket is used and definitely not on the heads. If they are not perfect, make them perfect. Have them tested with a straight edge and machine milled if need be.

guess I won’t need them 👍🏼 They look good to me. Was going to put them on headers then the gaskets ontop of it so it doesn’t touch the heads.

I did it myself in 7 hours. It sucked. There is about 4-6 inches of space for your hands to get in. Get some better gaskets for the downpipes mine blew out already and ive had them on for 3 months. also get some Nuts with the melt on plastic or use loctite because i didn't use either and they fell out right away. Let me know if you need instructions to put them on.
you gotta get the stock downpipes cut and welded on the headers. That cost me $80

Use this stuff on both sides of the gasket:
https://www.permatex.com/products/ga...-gasket-maker/
They have it at my local orilie's(but not autozone). It is my favorite permatex. My Chinese long tube headers are basically 45% Chinese crap, 55% permatex optimum grey.... and I have had no issues with any of the slip fitting with cheap clamps for six months now and lots of drag runs.
