Trunk Button Not Working

I did a bit of research and I don't have some of the symptoms I read about. This is the red button when you press to close the trunk. My plate lights work, 3rd brake light work and trunk light work. I took the panel off to the rear trunk and saw no cut or damaged wires at all. I opened up the rear fuse box and couldn't find paperwork for the fuses to see which fuse is for the rear button to close the trunk. I wouldn't normally care if it works or not but most of the times closing that trunk is a task very stiff.

Possibly a broken wire.
Take the left trunk hinge cover off. There is wires in there that get broken after multiple opening and closings.
Inspect each wire. More than likely there are others broken also.

There is a thread on it on the forums but not sure where.

Not sure why its not working but the wires I checked are good as well. If the wires look good which to me they seem to be in great shape saw nothing out of the ordinary, should be either the button itself, fuse or pump.

From what I remember my other things worked too with no error codes.
My button didn’t light up or work either.

Give it a look. You might be surprised what you find.

it was pretty helpful actually, my battery although im not having any other issues is old from 5/2010. Sometime once in a blue moon my gauge clock will reset itself an hour back not sure why it does that but other then the trunk issue that would be the only other problem.
