Looking for some meatier tires, need suggestions!
Hi All!
Currently running 19x8.5 front with 235/35/19 tires, rears are 19x9.5 with 265/30/19.
I drive in OC and LA so there are plenty of pot holes, any suggestions on some meatier tires I can run with my set up? Nothing too crazy I don't want the ride to look awkward with a weird stance! Lol!
Thank you and I appreciate your help!

The only way to increase your sidewall significantly is to go to a smaller wheel, 18" is ideal for crappier roads. Your rotating diameter will be off if you put much larger tires on.

ya....you'll need to go 18's and to get a taller side wall. also your tire sizes could be upgraded...you could be at 245 and 275 to max out those widths.

I’m out in Texas and we have some pretty terrible roads. I’ve got what I assume are stock wheels with 255/40/18 and 285/35/18’s and they have taken the abuse pretty well so far. I’ve had the car out here for about 5k miles now.

I use 245/40/18 and 285/35/18 for my car to have some comfort. My CLS 255/30/20 and 295/30/20 very uncomfortable...

Yeah I don’t have much as it is but I can’t imagine having 2 sizes less. It’s got Toto Proxes all seasons on there so maybe a summer tire will show improvement. I’m in south/central TX so no reason I can’t use them year round.

What sort of tires are you guys running these days? I see a couple mentioned already. I was thinking of the pilot sport 4's. I usually run potenza RE003's on my other/previous cars but they are not available in 275/35/18.

Since we see occasional snow here in Northern Virginia, I run Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 (F) 245/35-19 and (R) 275/30-19.
If possible, I avoid potholes at every turn. When you have a car as nice as this, you have to.

This is funny, but I have 275s on the back of my AMG, which happens to be the size that are on the front of my X5. And the X5 wears 305 rears, and it is a very wide tire.

Does a 305 fit the W211?

The bigger issue, is will it rub. Yes, a 305 will fit, but rubbing is a big concern, as the tire is so wide.
Some have had their fenders rolled to fit such a wide tire.

My 2019 c63s came with stock 20" 285/30 on the rear. The car slips with the amount of hp it has. Is it possible to go up on the width of the tire with the stock rims? What's the max I can go up to? Thanks!

What is the rim width? Is it rwd or awd? I am not too clued up on the new C63's. I do recall they have a pretty good electronic LSD. What tires are you currently running? You may have to consider drag radials depending on your climate.

wrong forum but its RWD only... generally speaking on factory wheels you can add 10mm to the tire width. sometimes 20mm. warning that you might have tire bulge which will look funny, but they'll fit. you're going to be only helping a little with just tire width. you'll need a stickier tire and maybe width as well to assist with lack of grip on a high hp car.
