What brand/weight differential fluid/gear oil are you using?

Hi All!

I'm thinking it's about time to change out my differential fluid, I currently have 81k on my 2007 E63.

Was thinking of using Motul Gear300 Synthetic 75W90, would this be comparable to MB 85W90?

Any other recommendations? Did you have to replace the bolts and washers?

Thank you in advance!

I think its the same oil as the 55 cars are using.

Castrol Syntrax 75w140 limited slip.

Replace crush washer if used, no need to replace bolt.

That’s what I use in my CLS55. 75W140 with limited slip additive is specced for almost every modern AMG.

I would just pick up the right fluid at the dealers. There's some other older threads where people mention using thicker fluid and getting worse gas mileage. The difference in price isn't that much, around $20+ a quart but you don't use that much so it shouldn't really matter.
