E55 Brake noise
I have had my E55 for 1.5 months and the brake noise is unbearable Is anyone else having this problem? My dealer told me that it is a common problem and there is not much I can do with it.
Any help or suggestions here?

JChwe... I had the same problem in my '04 E55. It happen for me at mostly very slow speeds, (5-10mph) I told my dealer it was unacceptable that a $90,000 car sounds like a $400 beater when I pull up to a stoplight. He put new pads on the front and treated them with something and no the problem hasn't returned.
Insist that your dealer do something about it...common problem or not.

Thanks Ex. You are right. I cannot see this being "normal" and yes it was at very, very slow speeds as you said. It is very embarassing. I will take it to the dealer and fight it out!

It's absolutely great. It was installed the "t-bone" way, under the back parcel panel.Reception, except for going under tunnels or alot of well leafed trees is excellent. It almost precludes the need for cd's or discs.

JChwe...Yeah, the Sat radio is great! It's expensive but when you figure that you get more than a year of free Sat subscription with the installation of the new unit it takes some of the sting out of the initial price.
I hardly ever listen to reg radio anymore. Mostly I use the Sat radio (T-Bone Inst)and I also use the AUX jack in the glovebox alot to listen to my MP3 player.
Hope everything goes well with your dealer on the squeaky brakes!

I also had the squealing brakes. Seems to happen after slow stop and go city driving. I tried 3 hard stops in a row from about 70mph and the squeal has been gone for over 1000 miles now. The dealer can also bevel the edges of the brake pads and that will also usually take care of the problem.
