Installed new battery in the trunk, still getting visit work shop?

Hey guys, so my battery gave up on me over the winter, i had a spare battery that was a little smaller but worked for the time being that i needed it. Everything was working as should, just was dealing with the visit workshop light.. Just went and purchased a new battery from Advanced auto, put it in and STIll have the visit workshop message? does the new battery need to be coded? dont have a my star/das laptop on me to check things, figured i would pick your guys brains in the mean time.

easy enough.
Battery is small and easy to handle. It's easy to get to also. Should be a 10 minute job at most start to finish.

Same thing happened to me few weeks ago. Drove the car for 20 miles next day no more warning light.
I bought the small battery but not installed it yet.

I just replaced mine yesterday funnily enough. I decided to go with the original, from the stealership . Out this neck of the woods it converts to around USD130 for the original. Happy days.

I'm sure there must be the generic imported batteries cheaper than OEM there that must be available. Just call a couple of battery shops and give them the battery details or vehicle details and they can let you know what they got as an alternative.

So after getting my new aux battery in 3 days later go to start her up and message again.. I'm also a cls55. Have picked up I have a 200ma battery drainage issue going on, so time to find the culprit now. Have you checked your electrical system for battery drainage?
