02 sensors
Need some advice I am having some difficulties with my 04 E55. I did some upgrades recently like long tubes, 77mm pulley, Race IQ tune, heat exchanger, bosch 010 pump. Afterwards I had the check engine light on for rear 02 sensors due to no cats. Went back and had the rear 02 sensors coded out of the ecu and no more check engine light. Problem is that its time for smog and my cheap scanner shows the rear sensors and heater circuit not completing the monitors yet. Not worried about the visual part just need it to pass the OBD2 part. Not sure if I should double check it with a better scanner because it will not pass with incomplete monitors.

I'm no expert because my state doesn't do checks. But if you did longtubes and tuned out the 02s you won't pass. In the ls world we would hang front 02s that would trick the ecu and the test. Not sure it's available for the m113k

What state are you in?

Did you have the sensors coded out of the tune or coded out with STAR? If they are coded out of the tune you won't get a CEL but you'll never pass emissions because they'll report not ready. You need to have them coded out of the car with STAR and then enabled in the tune and then they will show ready for OBD

I was not able to remove with star so I had them coded out with the tune. It sucks but it looks like I will need to return it back to stock. Glad I kept everything but man its definitely a fun car

When you code them out in STAR it must be in developer mode and there must not be any codes thrown. I was having a hell of a time trying to get the coding to stick on mine until I realized I had a persistent engine oil level sensor fault that wasn't throwing a CEL but would come back immediately after clearing and this was preventing the o2 sensor coding to stick to the car.
Good luck... you'll need it over there in california
