alternative for Mobil Jet Oil 2?
i cant get Mobil jet oil 2 at where i'm so i'm looking for an alternative .
from what i read , some suggested GM or AC Delco supercharger oils but as far as i understand Mobil oil jet2 is a turbine oil (which means it can handle extreme temps and oil expansion )
any suggestions for alternative oils ? bp 2380 is not available too

Mobil jet 254 is what I use in the supercharger. It's the latest generation (3rd) to jet ii oil and has increased thermal stability and degredation resistance. Can you get this Mobil product?

I apologize, I double checked my last fluid order and it was Mobil Jet Oil 387 which is the fourth generation product and a replacement for Mobil Jet Oil II and 254 which was the second and third generation product.

Goose grease or snake oil, that’s what I’ve heard. I do spend lots of time concerning myself about possibly administering the incorrect lubricant to all of my vehicles, but in the end I believe they aren’t that much different. I need to buy a car and just throw caution to the wind and fill everything up with a 10w40 and see how long it all lasts. I would drain the antifreeze, flush and fill with green generic and tap water. Or flip it and fill all with dextron atf and see what happens either way.
You definitely hear the horror stories about possible incorrect fluids, but this seems to be a black magic area, where nobody really knows, but the manufacturer says you should use this.
The flip side finds guys running 300,000 miles on whatever oil and filter was on sale at the time and changing it regularly.
